nick 401
Was wanting to know if anyone could give me any info on how to do this conversion? I know that round headlight front panels are available from palmside motors but am interested to find out if that can be avoided.... Any info or tips would be appreaciated. cheers. peteretep
my guess would be to buy a circle headlight grille and lights, then put the grille up to whats there now and place where the roundies need to go, then weld some plates in where the swuare ones once were
Gaz
No weldeing needed. Just need the lights and the grille. I did it to my last mk1 but cant member 100%.. Think they fit in but there will be a gap where the old ones used to be.. Not visiable from outside with grill on. Gaz
kyteler
I'm fairly certain in the MkI it was a trim/type difference as opposed to a "facelift" so, there should be nothing dramatically structurally different between rectangular and round lamp variants. eke_zetec_RWD
the best way is to get a 2door and copy it. the holes are round insted of rectangle so the mounting holes for the round headlight mite need making. wont be a major tho
