cute wee gem
Torx bolts are so poxx, had a hell of a time getting the head off a 4g32 with them. Had to weld real bolts to them cause the heads just stripped [/i]
thminiman
they're only good if you have Exactly the right size,
Gaz
Trox could be right as the side of mine has T-55 on it. So thats the size etc. As any socket/spanner etc you need the right size. To use these make sure you hold them 90° to the bolt otherwise itll slip out and possibly round it off.
thminiman
yuh, sometimes what i do with the torx is tap them into the whole with a hammer first, so i know its as far in as possible and flat etc
Gaz
^yup. I found that really cleaning them out 100% made a big differance also.
sholdowa
... do I gather from this that the 205 sierra bolts are different to the old RS2 blocks of my youth??? I certainly *never* had a problem getting those off!
Gaz
nah should be the same.
excort
had a look around on trade me none of the bit sets come with t-55's in them proper tool shop will most likely have them tho cheers guys
sholdowa
That's probably why torx don't work then
Gaz
Try a bigger repco. My Ripco (Kilbirnie.. out of town and kinda small) had heaps of them. Whole sets even if wanted.
