Guest Scheme
are you allowed to modify bumpstops in anyway?
Gaz
dont think your allowed to cut them but you can buy smaller ones.
CaMpylobacter
should be able to pick some up thru a suspension wholesaler or somehting. can get away with cutting stock ones, so long as you do a fucking good job. although, why do you need to? chances are you dont have shortened shocks that will actually enable the extra travel, or somehting will rub. I've seen a fir bit of damage be done due to rear stops being cut. when it went full deflection, the driveshaft was thrust forward further forward than it had travel into the tail housing of the gearbox, thus thrusting the box and engine forward, fan into radiator, completely fucking a brand new radiator. just check it all out before you do it. Guest Scheme
shocks are most definately going to be shortened. Im talking about bumpstops on a ke70 wagon here, leaf spring rear - I want to sit relatively low and still have a fair amount of travel left before hitting the stops. esky boi
I cut my bumpstops, the cert guy didnt say anything and neither did the inspectors at VTNZ.. should be fine if you do a real good job of them.

oldrx7
you 'legally' cant, but if you smooth them off so it looks nice n tidy, then really no one is going to know, just check that your car can clear the extra suspension travel, ie; your diff might hit the floor etc.
