drftnmaz
whats a off the shelf oxy sensor thats not that expensive. i want to put it in a few of my cars then i can change my digitial air/fuel guage between them for tuning etc... RT
I run a autogauge one which was about $100.. and the sender itself was $100. $200 is not much to pay for something that can save your engine! they are also helpful for tunning but only as a rough guide eh. SYKOV6
ive been thinkin about rigging one up as a tuning aid as dyno time isnt cheap. any oxy sensor hooked up can be read witha volt meter as the voltage will fluctuate as it goes from rich to lean. u just have to figure out which reading is which. reving the engine should give a rich reading or a certain voltage. then you know what voltage a lean reading should give. with a bit of trail and error at idle you can get a handle on the mixture readings while your driving. this is meant to work i havent tried it so its not proven but it sounds correct in theory
drftnmaz
i can post up the typicial reading if you want (volts i mean) cause i have it written down in my kit for my guage. and its easy to work out from there.

Chrome_GT
[/img] A couple bits of info for ya. In this experiment the 14.7:1 was obtained at 0.5volts from the oxygen (lambda) sensor. You can see what voltage to look out for if you want economy (BTE) or Power (BP). I'm not sure if all sensors have the same output voltages. Yeah it does fluctuate too when ya go from rich to lean as SKYCOV said.
