Muzzie
Uno turbo motor needs the valve stems seals done, but whats the easiest way to do it without dropping the valves into the cylinder? And how do you get the spring compressed if the head is left in place.
Guest kris
I once read about rope (into sparkplug hole, piston to TDC) and a crowbar (It's an OHC right?). Don't quote me on it. I'd take the head off.
CaMpylobacter
I thought there was a special tool for it?? meh, take head off, get it ported while you're there.... chances are the guides could be shot anyways?? meh, then you can also chuck a copper head gasket on, and go some more boooost

TygerTung
Put the piston at BDC, feed some rope into the cylinder through the sparkplug hole, bing the piston back up towards TDC, put a rag over the hole to stop any shit falling in it (a valve collet once fell in there for me). I lockwired the springs closed when in a vice myself, then put them back into place then cut the lockwire. You can buy a special tool to do it which I brought, but it didn't work. davidian
i have no idea whatsoever what your motor looks like, but when i was taking the cam outta the xflow the bastard cam followers started falling into the block so i went and bought some of those pen-like extendable magnetic tools to hang onto them, they hadny as. dunno tho might not be of any use to ya tho :/
Muzzie
Guides are fine, the seals are just a bit worn cause its blowing a bit of smoke and it aint the turbo, wrecker who sold it to me (deals on in unos and pandas) told me all about it. Just wanna stop it smoking and get it done so I can put the motor in. And yes it's SOHC
SYKOV6
cut the end off a spark plug and weld on a air fitting screw the plug in and connect the air hose and go for ya life. the air pressure will keep the valve up. you can buy a valve spring commpresser to do the job with the head on.
