rs2000escort
you will either need a new battery or an alternator well you will need a new battery in the end because if it hasnt been charging it mean the alternator will be stuffed and will wreck your battery correct me is im wrong guys ?? Guest WESTCORT
check your wiring easiest thing to do. does your car run fine once its been jumped? ie does the red battery light not come on? if not then your alt is sweet. ive had same probs so i replaced the battery and wah lah goes fine. needed to jump/roll in the mornings with the old battery but once it was going it was sweet just wasnt holding the charge
CaMpylobacter
check it's chargin (alternator) light alone isnt enough. then when its not running and everyhtings turned off, check whether it's drawing a current off the battery - alternator again. check your earth & starter lead contact etc, clean the terminals and get the battery tested (any decent workshop can do this) sorted. holla
Guest Demonmk2
yeah exactly what its doing as soon as it gets jumped/push started it goes fine the red light goes off when im going seems like the battery doesnt have enough push to get the motor going just cranks over and doesnt ignite so msut be the battery god damn why does everyrthing have 2 hapen when i need a wof my mum broke my window wipers this morning...and i need new tyres and a rack boot gunna be a gay month 4 me gotta buy tires 4 my mags instead of my bikies = 580 (just tyres)bux oh and i need brake pads

esky boi
Yea definitely sounds like your battery. OR as mongol said, your timing could just be over advanced. But Id go with the battery aye, $50 ish will get you one for what you need.

esky boi
And the boot shouldn't be more than $20 for a new one, or score one off a parts esky or sumthin. Sorted

Guest Eddie W
Sounds like the battery all right. Had the same prob. with my wifes PUg. Had to bite the bullet in the end and get a new one. You can check the alt by putting a volt meter across the batt with the engine running. Should read around 14-14.4 volts. Anybody suspecting a connection problem, the suspect one will be hot after cranking. Eddie
Guest Demonmk2
mmmm yeah it started when i tried it jsut then its real strange praobly cause its a ford (haha jk) i never did the timing or anything my bikies are to worn out booked new tyres for my rims on friday yaya get them put on! there goes 580 bux, oh and its not the actual wipers its the arm its cum off the raling or somthing (only one wipes the other jsut looks at me donig nuthing)
Hemi
and if eddie w says it dont read betweend 13-15 volts and your car is at 2000 rpm then your nator is had it , bah if its just the rubber wiping things those a cheap as . if u have a load tester then use that its the best way to tell wewther the inside of the batt is gone
