Guest emerson
Anyone done these before? Does it need the wiring coming off a coil pack or can you hook it straight up to the postive terminal of battery via a switch
davidian
you need a sparkplug plumbed in the xhaust preferably ive met a dude with a gemini coupe with that setup

Guest emerson
yer but do you need a coil pack between the battery and the spark plug (in exhaust). or is the voltage of the battery enough?
Ned
get a spark plug and mount it about 5cm from the back of mufler tip. run a spark plug lead to a second coil (mounted under the car as leads are fucking expansive!) then hook the coil up to the positive, a switch between the coil and the earth and away you go. if you want mean flames, unplug one plug from the engine so a little bit more fuel runs through you exhaust. remember, if your car is tuned nicely, it should/will not have flames!!! Bistro
the kits cut the spark to all the plugs so the engine just pumps unburnt fuel/air mixture threw the overrun and the rear one lights and fire.
Ned
it shouldnt cut ALL sparks as then the engine wouldnt run and no pressure in the engine would axtually push the fuel/air mixture through the engine and then exhaust...
Bistro
its on the over run. its still in gear and the momentum of the car keeps everything thurning over, therefore the mixture is getting round. then you flick the swtich again, get back up to speed and hit it again. thats if its moving, wait have i fucked something up. maybe it doesnt cut them all. hmmm, i think you could be right lol.
