Toucan
The dude i just got my 1600 off told me i could put my 1300 head on the 1600 block and raise the compression (1300 has flat valves). But i think 1600 ports are bigger than a 1300? What would you guys do? Go with bigger ports or higher compression??? Chur.
zep
Why dont you savea bit of case and get the 1300 head ported out a bit, or if you're keen, there are DIY guides on the net. That way you get larger ports and a higher compression.
two_days_late
youd be better off putting 1300 pistons in your 1600 block and keeping the 1600 head. then you get the high compression and the 1600 ports. the 1300 pistons have a smaller bowl which raisies the compression, thats what im doin with mine, what do ya think? Toucan
Man thats looking nice Yea my 1300 pistons are worn really bad thats half the reason i got a new engine so no chance I'd be able to use them, and measuring the 1300 head off my old engine it turned out to be a 1600 head anyway
