  1. Awesome. Do you know what it is? Those look like first gen Skyway tuffs which takes it back to the early 80's I think. Also looks to have tan wall tires which also screams 80's. Between the bike and the car you have my ultimate barn find!
  2. Thats so cool! Cheers for the pics. Now I NEED to see pics of that BMX! What is it? I badly need those tuffs if you want to sell. Andy.
  3. Anglia is looking great. Awesome work. Are you going to keep with an original interior and steel wheels? I was about to ask what you do for a crust but I just saw that in the last post. Very envious of that big shed!
  4. Nice! Yeah Jamco will probably mess you around and this will only happen once they actually reply to you. Ive had a few bits and pieces from them. A mate recently told me to buy from their ebay site as its quicker. Word is that they keep sweet F A stock and indent everything once its paid for so customer wears all costs and the wait. Let me know how you get on and what the quality is like. Cheers.
  5. Are you getting the tubular arms with granada spindles? That gear looks quite nice. Was your vic on trademe recently?
  6. Yeah staying with Henry's chassis. Late 50's early 60's mild custom. The 302/C4 is a little modern but I will just keep the bonnet closed. Would like a Y Block but I already have the windsor. What spinner have you got and what disks are planning to fit? Aerostar springs (transit) are what they go for to drop them in the States. From there you can fit spacers under the spring platforms or get dropped uprights. The tunnel just forward of the diff needs some bangin if you go past a 3 inch drop in the back. Cheers.
  7. Would be keen to see pics if any are available. There are very NZ new spinners that suvived in our climate. We also only got 4 door cars with no coupes or 2 doors (tudors). Like any old ford the lower 6 inches is like an asprin. Pretty much all the new steel im putting in mine is galved so it should be good for another 60+ years. The guy I got mine from had two or three of them. I have a pic somewhere of him and his wife he sent me when I got the car. I will try and find it.
  8. spam post lol. You can see my bikes (89 Bashguard Bully and 89 Mongoose Cali pro) on the BMX museum. I post under Kiwiandy. Same on the HAMB btw. I warn you now though, set aside a few hours. These can also cause serious distractions to progress on vehicles.
  9. Update. My inner rockers have been found and are being air freighted too NZ. Stoked.
  10. Good job. Will it ride again or is it now for show? Post some pics in the museum when you get a chance. Keen to see.
  11. Im in two minds over the body work. Its basically the floors, rockers and lower fenders... pretty much the lower 4 inches of the car. Im a fitter and turner and have done a reasonable amount of TIG work but have moved off the tools in the last 12 months and no longer have access to a TIG. I now have to decide whether to spend a couple K buying a TIG setup or to spend some money and get some work done by a pro. Ive been talking with Tony at Custom Metal Shapers and he has a really good setup including a spot welder which would be ideal for the rockers and floors. The best solution will be if I can get it into his shop and if he allows me to do some of the work myself. The previous owner has replaced the rockers and messed up the door gaps. Tony also has a car-o-lina so it would be good to get it up on there and line everything up. I will get some pics of all the patch panels this weekend. Thanks for your comments. Cheers.
  12. These arrived last week from North Carolina via L.A. Was just like Christmas only better. Unfortunately the critical inner rockers (sills) have been lost in transit. They are hand formed, made to order and only made every 18 months. They are looking for them. Ill unpack and get pics of the parts this weekend but basically its a bunch of sheet metal and some stainless side trim.
  13. As above, can anybody tell me what the average Ryco, Fram etc filters are rated too? Cheers.
  14. The roadster is very traditional with flathead etc and sitting on 32 rails. The (1950) will be late 50's mild custom with a stockish 302. However being I have three kids I will probably go with belts anyway. Do I need to call Mark to get mine under way or can I call you to get set up? What is the initial inspection charge to get the ball rolling? I should probably do this since it has sat for 6 years! Thanks.
  15. What are the seatbelt requirements for reg/vin of old (pre 1960) cars. We were having some discussion at the hotrod club about this last week. Would a Model A ie 1930 roadster (original steel body) need lap belts fitted? Cheers.
  16. how to do it right. http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=110989
  17. oven cleaner will remove anodising but can stain the aluminium. Bit of trial and error needed.
  18. Lowered on hotwires with 205 60 13's is the treatment most mk2's got BITD. Looked rad.
  19. I used to run a Petronix Ignitor (sp) on my 1600. Worked really well and was completely internal. From memory I had a Lucas distributor.
  20. Awesome Clint. Love the detail in the engine bay.
  21. This build is absolute quality! Well done. Its a credit to you. Andy.
  22. Here are a couple of pics of where i'm heading. Im looking at a late 50's - mid 60's mild custom. This basically means low, nosed, decked, mild/stock interior but nothing radical like chopping or sectioning.
  23. Here's some pics of my 50 Coupe. The pics are of the car being loaded in North Carolina for shipping to NZ. It was an ebay buy and was supposed to be rust free...... it wasn't. Ive had it for about six years and done bits and pieces as time and funds permit. It came with a 302/C4 but it originally had a flathead. Id love to put a flathead back in but it would add another 5-6K to the build. It won't happen over night.. but it will happen!
