  1. Re. the rubbish. Go to mitre 10 and get a flexi-bin. Cheaper than the tip. Also, I have some long lengths of t and g timber that would be sweet for making a bench. If you want it its yours.
  2. "I'll ask my boss (Steve Levine from Imagin-Airing Custom Art ltd) how much he'll do it for. If he's keen, It'll probably be cost of paint + a little extra for his time." I would seriously consider this offer! Steve Levine would easily be one of the top painters in NZ.
  3. I dont have a calculator (and im drinking) but that 9 metre span gives you a huge cavity for storage in the trusses. How high is the apex? lets see... SOHCAHTOA. I think its 10 degree pitch, the adjacent is 4500mm. Whats the "O"?
  4. buyer beware on clipped chassis. Some of them are so badly done its unbelieveable. Also if buying a clipped car, make sure all the front sheetmetal ie inner and outer guards are fitted correctly and the wheels sit centred in the arches. Heaps of unfinished projects for sale for this reason. There are alot of after market clips ie fatman fabrications, that are apparently quite good. I guess ask for pics of the welding etc and look for details like gussets and fishplates.
  5. Thats alot of car for $1200. Even dropping another 2-3 k into it you'll still be on top. I remember these when they were new. Nice score.
  6. Yeah lighting is the one. I mounted lighting on the wall around the tilt door.
  7. So jealous of the big shed. Glad to see a cut slab. Are you having three roller doors? Being a versatile they will be roller not tilt??? I did a Skyline and it has a tilt door. Would definately trade again due too quality but change to a roller door.
  8. ^^^ I concur. Surprised the garage company hasnt sorted this.
  9. I ran conduit after the shed was finished. Just drilled down through the bottom plate of the framing then dyna drilled through the slab. Was easily done. Once the slab is down things will progress fast! looking forward to some pics.
  10. lol. yes. I used to hang out at his shop on Saturdays and work on my car. Met all sorts and walks of life there! Good times.
  11. I saw him maybe two years ago driving along railside in an Imp so hes still kicking around somewhere. He did the body work on my Mk1 Escort Sport many moons ago.
  12. Was a guy Tony Smith up here in Auckland who I used to know. He had about 7 including a fast back. Was pretty cool.
  13. will be a good size shed. Shame you couldnt get away with 2.7 stud as its nice to have. 50 k is a good price too. ~ $500 a square is cheap. Was this signed off under the supercity? Seems you must be covering a big chunk of your land between house, garage and driveway.
  14. Ive got to pull the pin as wife has gone for the day so I have kids in tow. Demo + kids + vailima + burnt meat = bad. Good on yous fellas for your efforts!
  15. are the holes through the guards flame cut?
  16. Hello. I think this goes here but please advise if I need to move it. Can anyone ID the engine in this minibike and advise where to get parts? It used to be motorised scooter but was queer to ride so I cut it down and made it into a minibike. Goes really well and engine is reasonable quality but last summer the white plastic ratchet piece for the starter broke and I cant find a replacement. Thanks for any help.
  17. awesome wagon. Are you planning to bring it back to NZ? NZ needs more like this. And the wheels are rad. I wouldnt change those for love nor money!
  18. Yeah it sounds good to me. The fella I spoke with at Wairau reckons they keep a stock of cylinders so its pay and swap as needed.
