I hear what you are saying. But we all have to start somewhere. I did a bit of a google search and found some contrasting info. You folks always seem to produce the good oil, so I thought I would ask here.

OK So I would love to paint the Anglia this summer. Budget says DIY So I read the paint thread article etc but have the following questions 1) Is a 40L compressor big enough 2) HVLP gun ok? How much should I spend? 3) I plan to use enamel laquer as 2k is a bit scary sounding, am i being a pussy? 4) How much paint will I need? 5) Does someone in chch have a booth I could hire? (or shall I plastic line my double garage?) 6) Do I need to clearcoat? Cheers for reading

I am not an upholsterer, I am just a burnt out Biology teacher so I am unable to quote on what it will cost to do it. The guy is a good upholsterer, often you get good, often you get cheap, rarely you get good and cheap. I have found his pricing reasonable. Hope that helps

Interesting weekend. I got the old degreaser out and a jet nozzle for the hose.. Got a lot of lumps of oily crud ouf from under the car. I also gave the motor a good dose with the same stuff. ($20 for 8l at supercheap). Painted the oilfiltercover and reinstalled Gave the enginebay a good going over with a scrubbing brush and hot water. I ordered a new rockercover gasket, so I can remove the rocker cover and paint that. I also polished the chrome hubcaps and wheel trims. I even polished the bumper. Pics to come.

OK if your wheel cyl was leaking it may have contaminated the shoes. this will have stuffed em. You may be ok by hitting the shoe with brakekleen then a blow torch. Do the same to your drum. Leave the LH wheel cylinder alone, it appears to be fine.

supercheap have 8l of degreaser for $20 this weak. I got some to try as well as some spray stuff. I have an old spray bottle lying about, Will put the $20 stuff in there and see how it goes. Once I finish this yummy home made pizza

OK so the underside and engine bay of the box could do with a good steam clean. I would like to get the enginebay as clean as possible to see if there are any engine leaks etc. Is steamcleaning worth while? Do any of you own a steam cleaner? Do any of you want to share the hire of one of these for a day? Am I just being lazy? Should I get in there with a cloth, screwdriver, wooden spoon and cleaner/ degreser?
