Cert required for changing from auto to manual box, currently certed for auto? Not according to the the thresholds if using all OE
-
Does anyone on here do repair certs? What is checked out just the repairs listed buy vehicle inspectors or the whole car get a check over?
-
Got the savebarn one aswell, brought bulk belts off Aliexpress awesome tools
-
@JustHarry assume they would be the same, been that long since I see the pickups.
Bloody thing didn't wanna run right anyway, Weber's aren't to happy so got pushed back into the corner

Anyone have a dipstick they can post a pic up with measurements of the full and add marks so I can measure oil level.
Somehow this dipstick has misplaced it.
Cheers

Yeah will certainly be handy being able to raise er up a bit when needed, I don't find it too bad around here with regard to bottoming out but was pretty bad once we got past Clinton,

so basically the no individual corner adjustment rule is bollocks but its there to stop everyone cruising around 3 wheeling?
Maybe a well grounded and sensible certifier could understand the logic and let it slide if I dont come across as a loco mehican if the time does arrive

Mint found it now. Turns out the phone if been running for the last 2 years has a junk folder hidden away, all this time I have been checking the spam folder, 2 different things apparently

Oh right so is any leveling programming mandatory?
If not is what your saying that a 8 solinoid multiswitch controller setup with 2 dual gauge would be fine for cert if only the front and back switches were operational?
(If they come up and down level with out toggling individual corners)
Yea @Toddy415 for the HQ never really entertained the thought of bags, I thought they were a bit wanky but after clocking up 1500kms heading up to muscle car madness and back taking out a few catseyes and knocking the headers loose a few times i realised how practical it would be.
I do remember having a good look at that thread years ago and it seemed like more work than I was up for but after but after checking out this build thread from aussie I changed my mind,
And yes can buy kits for these now, I'm guessing it would be much cheaper to make up your own kit but being a bit green on this sorta stuff I'm not too sure where to start.
I assume the kits just using generic airbag gm stuff like the upper bag mounts from impala type setups

Buy this chapter of the Car Construction Manual - http://www.lvvta.org.nz/shop/chapter-6-suspension-systems/
It has a bunch of info that will help.Yep brought the online version today before asking on here. Havent got the bloody email from them containing the link though.

Hey @cletus what makes systems with out e-level so hard to comply? I'm kinda thinking that extra $$$ would be the deciding factor on whether I pulled the trigger on bags or not
-
Is there any threads on here about airbags for beginners, after info about cert requirements like control systems etc
Edit just having a peruse of "AIR BAG SUSPENSION CHAT" now

Hi all does anyone know if the old suction cups cant be brought new.
-
Any regulations regarding suspension travel for a cert like is there a minimum travel requirement before bump stop contact
-
Sweet. Was thinking along the lines of machining a piece of steel to the same as the bottom of the spring then using a 8mmish washer to transfer the weight out to the spacer if that makes any sense. Should in theory place the weight in the same position as standard. Abit of height adjustability would be nice.

You sure that that electronic ignition doesn't require full 12volts to operate?

Dont know if it was right or if it will help you at all but I used penrite HPR 10w-50 full zinc + a bottle of zddp additive on my fresh 350 chev, new flat tappet cam.
Cut the top off a old dizzy, turned the teeth of the bottom in the lathe and primed the oil pump using a drill and tuned engine over by hand a few times. Then cranked er up to about 2500ish for 20 mins.

For Questions Regarding WOFs/CERTs/NUMBER PLATEs

So to the letter of the law it would require recert solely because the pedal box has been swapped. Even though the brake system hasn't been modified as the brake side of things is like for like, only difference is that one pedal box has a clutch pedal attached to oneside and one doesnt?
Seems abit odd, what's the difference in replacing a master cylinder?
