  1. What about the weight, a couch wouldn't be light? As Fliboi said, if it's got a bench stock, tidy that up.
  2. Makes two of us mate, I study part time (work full time) and once my exams are out of the way it's time to crack on! Where abouts are you?
  3. Nice, look forward to seeing her come together
  4. A good breathable cover will help, but of course under a carport of garage is the best. A MKII 1800 aye? should of kept that lol Giant mini!
  5. Just took a peak at your thread, best of luck! Far from a mini expert, but focus on the rust first as you no doubt know. That's where the big issues will be. Keep her BRG I looked at getting a mini, but I'm a bit too tall and plus I like having 5 seats, so got a landcrab
  6. If it doesn't have it already grab an electronic ignition kit, get rid of the points Nice looking car and best of luck with her. Can't go too wrong with a mini, parts for africa, hell helps of them even work on my 'gaint' mini
  7. lol really living up to the 'old mans' car image aye. what you need is a tweed sports jacket and a cigar or pipe!
  8. Just finished taking a look at your thread, wow what a great job you've done mate! Enjoy!
  9. Does your BGT have overdrive? mine did and that shit was mean!
  10. On that note, you could build your own pump, few how to's on the net. Also remember you need to make hydrolastic fluid to pump it up with and ensure all air is removed from the system. Or goto your mechanic if he has a pump lol. As K-trips says, don't cry if you shit it all up lol.
  11. Don't lower it lol. The handling and system is designed for a certain height. But if you must, I think you'd have to depressurize the system and pump it back up to a lower height. But I doubt it'll do you displacers much good, not to mention they're pretty hard to get a hold of these days.
  12. See you've updated your thread. Keep up the work. Having owned a '74 BGT I can understand the joys they bring. PS don't let your 'mates' F her up!
  13. I found Auto Dec to be cheaper by about $70 on the Carpet for my Torana Quoted $275 by Autodec and $345 by Basis Plus Autodec is local +1 for Autodec. Got a set of carpet for my landcrab from them and they did a great job
  14. That I have been thinking about. Studying part time at the moment there, so wouldn't be too bad
  15. Hey there guys, Should have a new car soon/down the line and one thing I've always wanted to do is learn how to weld. Would be great to learn to take care of some/basic rust issues myself, not only for my wallet, but for the experience. So does anyone have a welder and time to teach? Do you run workshop nights etc also? Cheers!
  16. lol Will be one expensive cock up if you forget though!
  17. Nice work mate, be careful if you're gonna play with the OD, as it'll be destroyed if you use it in reverse, hence why it has the inhibitor to make sure it turns off in the lower gears too. But you know what you're doing I'm sure. My old MG BGT had the OD on 3rd and 4th, switch was on the dash which I quite liked -Indy
  18. I might just take you up on that offer I like this talk of manual conversion, keen to see how you get on _b I do own a Triumph motorcycle lol
  19. Hey there guys, trying to get my hands on "Castrol TQF" automatic transmission fluid. Anyone know where I could grab some? Need it for a Borg-Warner 35 transmission. Supercheap and Recpo said they didn't stock it, nor could they get it in Cheers _b
