  1. spigot bearing was brand new when i fitted 5 speed(engine was originally auto).clutch cable is as tight as i can get it (cortinas and their stupid pedal adjustment setup ),im thinking the last option of warped clutch disc could be possible,when i originally fitted the 5 speed i did it on my back lawn lying under the car so knowing murphy i managed to f**k it up.thankfully ive got a 205 motor sitting in my garage with the escort van and it has a spare clutch fitted,so may be time to swap the clutches over.thanks for the advice though,will report back when i can be arsed dropping the box out,lol.i should really do a build thread too,lol
  2. anyone know how hard it is??just dropped my worked 2litre pinto and 5 speed into my new mark 5 cortina,and every time i engage reverse it crunches like f***ery,even when the clutch pedal is almost through the floor.all forward gears are fine,its just reverse .any ideas peoples??
  3. i used to have a 1200 sedan with 13/60 running gear,learnt to drive in it and everything.they are great little cars,i thought myself how to tune carbs,clean and gap plugs etc on my one,wish i hadnt ruined it by ripping the interior out and leaving it to rot .would have another one anyday,and yours is making me want mine back,lol.you planning on keeping it mostly original???

  6. ive got a 1990 sitting in my yard,not sure on rim width but diameter is 12",and tyres are 155/80 12s.want to go to a 13x5 with 165 or 175 50s though
  7. im 95% sure you will have to cert for change of fuel,my mate swapped the engine in his ln61 hilux(2L-T) for a 5m-e 6cyl petrol and had to cert that,worked out well though cause got it certed for replacement chassis at same time,lol
  8. im not 100% sure but i believe the wires you want are both black with a red stripe

  10. not sure,they may be,i bought them from mag and turbo in chch.not a bad tyre really,fairly soft compund though,theyre as soft as the yokohama 352s i have on my modgies
  11. thanks,was just wondering cause ive heard that a lot of autos run a different ratio to the manuals,lol.and i wouldnt mind a TF,theres a few in chch but they still rare imo
  12. 93 nissan pathfinder v6 petrol,old man scored it for free and i decided to mod it,lol.2 inch lift in the bum,front wound up 1 1/2 inches(will wind higher later),intially 31x9.5 mudstars(yokohama under another name),then 31x10.5 mudstars.factory manual vg30e(think early 90s v6 maxima),exedy h.d clutch,factory L.S.D does good 2nd gear donuts nudge bar with spotties,recycled plastic garden edging flares(old man is tight arse,lol)and recovery gear in the boot.just clicked over 200,000kms and keeps going,although the rocker cover gaskets do need replacing now,lol
  13. hey all, had a look through the search feature but couldnt find anything so figured id ask away,anyone know the diff ratios for a mark 5 cortina??ive got a choice of 3 diffs,just wanting to know if they all same ratio or not,as im hooking it to a sierra 5 speed and 2 litre in a mark 5.all diffs are out of 2 litre cortinas,one is a auto diff though.ive got a diff out of a base model,a mark 5 sport or a ghia(auto 1 is ghia diff).help would be great
