  1. they was the last super tourers from england they had to use the std plenum but could use quads as well plus comp was stock at 12 to 1 in england and cams were free

  5. have you moved back from queenstown dave, im using 2 stage now from 2000 rpm all the way to redline at 8800 rpm
  6. also markku we have seen the collets move down the valve with ti valves and regrab the stem in different places to hold on .the weak link is the exhaust valve ,they have a tendency to drop heads
  7. so red top, grey top and auto beams uses same springs and valves
  8. yes dave valve springs are different on redtop and black top manual or auto black top ,thats why the rev 500 higher cause of ti valves
  9. check your collets on the valves and see if they havnt moved ,looking at that bucket looks like you can see the shim impression ,are you still using ti val;ves
  10. my tailshaft is 1.3 metres long and its not straight from the back of the box to the f series off set diff
  11. its a frequency harmonic issue that causes them to whip any motor that goes over 6500 rpm in 4 cyl uses a 2 piece ,ford falcon with alloy shaft is limited to 180 kays ,turbo falcon is different thou .
  12. ok test it out but it will whip again just weld in a commodore center carrier bracket or get 1 from a toyota that has 2 piece most do from ta22 to rt132 coronas and carinas etc even cressida
  13. im doing 8800 in 5th which is overdrive of .880 with a 4.6 ratio .i dont have any problem with my 2 piece .but i did change the bolt together part of the 2 shaft to upgrade to ra60 as i was twisting the splines on the center at the carrier
  14. ok to long ,go to a 2 piece ,doesnt matter if you go bigger in dia it will still whip and snap in the middle .so if you were doing 7600 i 6th the tailshaft would be over 8600 rpm
  15. how long is the tailshaft in the starlet from back of box to diff flange and what revs were you doing and what gear
  16. std 3s rods are 138mm center to center
  17. i dont think they would be .or they might be std but with different length rods ,did you get this from justin
  18. toda crank is a 5sfe jobby ground down to suit 3 s rods
  19. Sorry I didn't see this I have billet 1s here std Toyota are 18.5 kilos mine are 15 kilos should fit into your suit case with clothes either side ,,, if you have 25 kilo luggage
  20. more duration on the cams 356 advertised or 274 at 50 thou 540 thou lift... no vvti any more ,52mm quads, bigger extractors and 14.5 to 1 comp with a cnc ported head and bigger valves

  24. try ta63 .. the tt142 might fit ,but you need to look at the chassis ,like looking at the strut towers and see if they are the same .ra40 celica series and rt 132 corona use the same front strut panels and bottom floor pan as well .hope this helps
