  1. have just been doing a bit of googling, have seen it mentioned a couple of times about pressurizing the float bowl. will keep searching, would be fricken awesome i reckon if it could work.
  2. bugger! it would be fricken awesome if that would work! Whats the best/cost effective/most awesome option for making good power without going injected?
  3. As always i've got wild ideas flying around in my head Does anybody know if there would be any issues putting like up to 10psi up the arse of a set of R1 carbs? Thinking of throwing an SC12 or 14 at the bike carbs i'm going to hang of the little zetec in my anglia
  4. oh god thats awesome i think i made a bit of a mess
  5. This is awesome! How much of which car is where?!
  6. you can just barely see them in this pic
  7. Thanks for the input, the gussets do sound like a good idea, i'll do that next time im home. The welds are strong as, i got a pro to weld them. Although you can't see it in the photos, its not solid mouted, there are capri engine mounts under there. The big rubber dohnut things. If i had been doing it from scratch i would have gone the trailing arm kind of route but the crossmember i have been working from had already been modified to take a capri v6 and had the cross member half of the mounts already made up for me and had the capri rubber mounts too. Just made sense that all i needed to do was finish them off.
  8. And the few other things i managed to get done while i was at home. Tunnel all folded up Hole cut out much biggerer sat up in place end folded down And welded up I then decided that the floorpan was looking way too complete and cut another bit hole to do some minor rust repairs repairs to the sill all patched and welded and again on the other side and found all this in the sill, its not even half, most of it is spread around my shed/face from the duster gun sill all cleaned out of all the mud and welded
  9. alrighty, been a while since i've updated. Have managed to get a couple of things done over the last few days. Got my revised engine mounts welded and fitted up, just have to trim them to make them look pretty and give them a coat of black zinc. They are way better looking than my previous attempt and allow more space for the starter motor. I also managed to get my gearbox mount all made up, its using the cross-member from an automatic 95 mustang i made some drop mounts to fit it all up. stood around scratching my head for F-ing ages trying to figure out how i was going to go about finding the right shape for my gearbox tunnel and in the end decided to mock it up with welding wire to get the measurements. And then measured it all up and marked it out on a sheet Will take that out to dads work in the morning and cut and fold it up. fingers crossed it fits! i got 3 spare sheets though so no biggie if i stuff it up.
  10. is it gonna be a race car or road car?
  11. whats the IRS setup from? I have been toying with the idea recently of chopping up an S14 subframe for the anglebox, and then i saw your thread and thought "yus! i'm not completely insane!"
  12. http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=cuq972 Chrysler Voyager WTF??? Is the rego dead??
  13. yeah they have heaps of upgrades for them. http://www.maximummotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21_90&products_id=480 That panhard bar is meant to be the most effective suspension upgrade you can make. They have a four link rear but the upper arms are tapered inwards quite a bit, the idea is that rather than having a watts or a panhard, the upper arms pointed inwards is meant to take the side to side movement as well as forward to back, the reality is that they do a fairly shit job of both. Chuck in the panhard and they are meant to be much more stable near the limit in cornering. I always wanted to get one for mine, and yet still might do for the mach 1 as it has the same gear. They are an 8.8" LSD yeah
  14. Definately do it. I used to have an 86 gtho, they aren't the best handling car but are wicked amounts of fun to drive.
