  6. I have been to see this, was looking at other parts, Its Dereged, and has no cert, rust wise it looked okay it does have 2.0 and celica box, didnt check out the capri axles etc, has anti tramp bars fitted I think its over priced by 2k at least, still needs shit loads of work to get it road worthy!@!!
  7. as per the title, just to change the front springs for wof, one has a bent coil :S 027 289 8085 Cheers David
  8. Cheers for coming around tonight! Results were N:1 127 N:2 128 N:3 129 N:4 134 i guess this is right for a 8.0:1 compression assuming is the low compression engine, someone might know what i should expect? I changed the coil, that fixed it, only thing is the coil that came out is a newish looking on from repco, had 3.5ohm across it, 9v across the terminals when the car was running, I put one of those bosch blast coils in with 1.5ohm as that's all i had lying around, seemed to run fine with no ballast resistor, but only had 3v across the coil? isnt the resistor supposed to drop the voltage from 12 down to 9? not sure why its showing only 3, But anyway runs well for now, took it for a drive!
  9. so since karl is a maybe, what is the plan? do i need to be assigned to a car so the other people in the car know how much to pay? or do i wait untill mid week?
  10. yeah, it came with pretty new: NGK plugs 8mm leads ive changed the dizzy over to a recond one with a new cap and rotor, timing is fine ive set the tappets cleaned out the carb, soapy water check on the vaccum lines etc havent changed the coil yet, also need to do a compression test

  13. hey i maybe able to help you with some parts, how much are spending on the "perfect" escort box? what ratio diff are you after?
  14. Looks Awesome!! did you use tubes or tubeless?
  15. yeah that is a decent set, my work mate had one, (exact one) best thing about it is each size comes with its own pilot bit so you don't have to change them over each time! only thing its missing is your 76mm hole saw!
  16. found a new hack on trademe that was cheap and more complete than the current one and cheaper! has no rust, but the repairs are very obvious hahaha but they are not bog jobs which is good! just needs a few things tidying up and ill take it for a wof Should look good on my widened steels! the beast the was owned by a local then given to the current owner who parked it in a shed back in 07 boot has a new paint job! sweet interior with added security with the extra key ahah some sweet rust repairs should be a sweet hack around down, was dirt cheap too, cant even get a rolling shell for that!
  17. next is tyres, what size are you going for? i had 185, 60's but found they rubbed at the rear, then put 175, 50's and now i have shit loads of room, enough to go lower, that's with the exhaust 75mm off the ground and the chassis 115mm
  18. yeah that's the place $25 a wheel
  19. Nice steels, what are they widened to 6.5"? i got a set done, 7.5 and 7, photo is of the 7.5 was $25 each wheel for sand blasting and the same for powdering coating, you should do that!
