  2. Il be up for this, last weekend of janurary works and a convoy from wellington sounds like fun. I could draft all the big boys, save some gas
  3. Thats how it goes Cletus, unforunately I (and I bet most on here) have let to many cool old cars go. But, it does mean there isnt much around so makes it stand out. This used to get around wellington from 2006 to 2008 I think, then was parked under a cover and scavenged of parts.
  4. Wag nats? If it means I get to sleep in the back, drink with some GCs Im 99.9% there already. I also have a full set of rims, I just cant afford another pair of 195/45s atm. Motivation is on a high now so I was spreading the love of POR15 in the nooks and crannies on sunday, that stuff likes my hands, alot And I did read the label.
  5. Was nice to meet every one that I did, turnout was lower than I expected but was still good, Just meant I got to eat more of those long kransky type sauages Kane
  6. Hi all, this is my 76 datsun 120y van. Picked it up october last year as a rolling body and began the slow process of getting it running. Its now driveable and only needs a couple of small tidy ups on the body to be legal. I have no plans for paint, engine mods or conversion at this point and was hoping to use it as much as poss over the summer. Its going to be hard going with the a12. Its nothing special and has been a good little side build with the car spending the last 6 months under a cover due to the crap weather. DISCUSSION: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=24432
  7. Heres my van that I wanted to bring to the BBQ, stupid drive shaft was pressing hard up against the gear box once the blocks were fitted (that morning) so it stayed home till I get it shortened. Was good to meet people, have a few beers and laugh so next time it will be coming along. Kane
  8. Well no garage and a late finish means I cant get my mirrors on tonight. Still, party on Wayne.
  9. Hey Ryan Did you manage to get parts from the blue one in onehunga?
  10. Sorted. Now I just got to fit fender mirrors, polish wheels and roll the rear gaurds slightly.
  11. Il come get. Tonight suit? safe hands with me and im currently in petone doing some study.
  12. How big? if it will fit in my 1990 starlet and then in the 120y wagon Il do it. But I will be there around 1230 as I have work till 1130ish in lower hutt. Can pick up friday or when ever and drop off when ever. Kane 0273380164
  13. No fixed bbqs there (as they would get nicked) and I dont see any problem with a portable BBQ as have done many times in the past and is not listed on the council web site as a NO NO. http://www.pcc.govt.nz/Leisure/Walkways ... ireia-Park http://www.pcc.govt.nz/DownloadFile/Lei ... rawing-Map Either place works for me. Kane
  14. I have work till 11am so will most likely meet every one up there. Also another couple people might be coming in their cars that arent members. Heres hoping for some sun like the weekend just been.
  15. Hey Ben Im planning on borrowing a gaurd roller next week if you want your gaurds lipped. can do with no paint chip and no out ward signs of damage etc. Thats if I can get it. they funny some times.
  16. Ditch the auto for a manual if possible then save money and rock out with a 2uz. Id own this tomorrow if I had the chance.
  17. Im 2 minutes away so may have to pass on the wof and reg.
  18. Im confirming my self for saturday the 9th. I havnt meet most of you and will be driving a yellow/red/black 120y station wagon. My names Kane and most likely will be solo or have my son with me.
  19. Im good for any sunday so will go with what ever date is decided.
  20. Whitireia park (near titahi bay) would be a good spot for a BBQ. Theres a couple of old concrete pads to park up on or go down the beach. Heaps of parking every where. Like any where in wellington its shit on a shit day but mint on a good one. I would rock my datto if you decide some where close.
  21. It has plastic bumpers and Il get back up there tomorrow and get what I can so long as its still there. No numbers to give unless you call mcginty tow yard through the yellow pages. The green tow trucks. will help where I can. Kane 0273380164
  22. Thats a good excuse to go back up
  23. I spotted this ford capri in p-town. I was only able to take one picture and it looks fairly tidy. Reg is dead but looks to be complete. Some one save it please. It is located at the Mcginty tow yard http://www.zoomin.co.nz/?search/address ... t++porirua There is also a late 70s celeste down at the scrap yard http://www.zoomin.co.nz/?search/address ... t++porirua Both cars are tidy and if you want some thing dont wait as they will go. EDIT. I decided to stop in and check the mitsi. It is a 79 celeste with dead reg and has the mintest dash I have seen. Has four gauges and rev counter. No engine or box but ideal for parts.
  24. JZX81's = massive. One car I will own one day and keep till I die. Looking forward to seeing it rolling da hutt. Also regarding the ITB set up, I am interested if some one is willing to make for my 1j.
  25. Love it, lose the pipes and move the mirrors. Yasuka has the solid rear v8 cressida and this is a x41 chaser with IRS and big grill. South island example and prob the actual car below.
