  1. when u lean around a corner there is centrifugal force pushing sideways(horizontal) and gravity(/weight...mass x gravity) pushing downways(vertical). The resultant force is like halfway between so the oil in the engine(and the tyres) are experiencing the resultant force which is like the same as if the bike was level with just gravity pushing downwards. edit: so(at speed) the centrifugal force is trying to push u back up straight and gravity is trying to push you down on the ground. Even each other out thats why once the bike/plane is leaned over real good it likes to stay that way and not level out or fall over. im no scientist but thats pretty much 100% correct thinking..maybe expressed in a less than scientific way lol . its the same with aeroplanes when you bank into a turn. Hence why you can run wet sump on planes and bikes without fucking the engine when you go around a corner or bank the plane into a turn. this is my understanding anyway. Thats what they teach you in pilot school and thats what i've read in a couple of old 1960's motorcycle tuning manuels In a car or whatever the vehicle is still level even when you are expeincing super hig centrifugal force going around a corner this is why you need baffles etc. Drysump is for rich. need drysump for going upside down cheapest way to make bike engines not run bearings in a car is to add a sump baffle plate. Same shit that heaps of dudes put in rotangs etc. costs like 5 bucks. lol'd at starlet guy not knowing why his hyabusa fucked its bottum end after a few special stages. sump baffles is the way
  2. phat. Those pipe would look good on a matt black 280z with widened steels and bolt on flares. You should just cut the tips a little(/heaps) and turn them not upwards/maybe angle sideways. Your mufflers full of water yet?
  3. so yeah i was just reading some shit about ktms and they run like 60:1. mean. edit lols this:
  4. yeh i def notice a big difference between 91 and 95. Starts to knock if i run 91 with a 30:1 mix unless i run fancy fuchs oil. My shits all comercial tho and dosnt get any airflow to cool even tho they're aircooled haha victa fo lyfe. / i have no idea whats going on i just make up a new cocktail every week and see what happens. my nsr likes 91 + motul the most. Standard specs, water cooled and oil injection tho so prob not relevent 40:1 is quite crazy waimaks. you gota rmx aye? i duno shit about water cooled mx bikes. this post was pointless.
  5. what premix ratio do dirt bikes usualy run? does it get extra hot with that low ratio? i know weedeatezr blow holes in pistoins if you run like anything less than 30:1 with low octane haha needs 25 to:1 or things get hot on all my shit/ does the methane make it run alot cooler? What octane petrol do you use? whats it smell like?/what oil do u use? where do u get nitro methane? pics of mud?
  6. dosnt this happen with like most auto to manuel conversions?
  7. so i rang some more fullas and i think spokes are like 70-130 a set depending on if you can get them from honda or custom made and the guy chrages 80 bucks on top of that to rebuild the wheel. So yeh i dont need a full set of spokes but it'll still cost me over a hundred bucks to fix the wheel Not worth it realy i think i'll just wait for a second hand rim to pop up. Some guy on trademe has one i think just got ta wait for him to make an auction
  8. btw just so you know. rb20det go pretty well imo. Nothing wrong with them as long as you aint chasing silly/unusable(on the street) power. Just put on a zaust + an rb25 turbo + poddy and bov and boost tap and vr4 front mount and it'll be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet as. have been in and driven many a nissan with that setup and they go realy well. Realy reliably unless you are drifting/doughnuting or running silly/stupid boost. tend to running big endz if you abuse them. And coil packs fuck out like once a week. otherwise they are fully sweet engines for the money. So so so cheep in saying that the most awesome car i ever experienced is a stock r32 gts with a mad dyno tuned to4 rb30det. Fuck can you say scary!?
  9. fuc. boring. just wheels. hui cares
  10. yeh ill investigate that. have ta take the bike mostly aprt to check that anyway so it would acualy probably be faster to replace the engine than check all the valves etc lol. does sound a little bit sick tho. Rot808 thought it sounded like a broken oil ring or something or rather. Does smoke abit of white on start up but not at all when its warm also the exup valve is a bit noisy so its got a few clicnky noises coming out of it at the moment. might have ago at tinkling with the exup valve and check the valve clearances etc and see if it runs better. also i think i should check the compression myself. How much does a compression tester cost? edit: its actualy pretty sweet to ride around town. Idles fine and up to about 8 thou revs it feels ok. Starts putting out after that tho and does sound abit 3 cylinderish at hi revs
  11. he heres some pics of my cycles. Gota few projects lolz Picked up these two fancy beasts this week. The 197? nc50 needs the rear wheel repaired or replaced. Spent like 2 hours cleaning it today it was unbowlevably dirty lol. Runs pretty good tho the 1987 fzr250 has a fucked engine. Only 17kms on the clock haha, fresh-ish jap import. Got it for a good price, Bike shop said one cylinder has like 5psi compression. Still rideable tho haha almost makes it to the redline(17000rpm)... I got another engine ta put in it this week lols at trumpet of triumph trident tripple carbs fiting this hontang like a glove this is my old fzr. Sold it a month oir so back. matt blacked it after some kent crashed into it in a flyfishing shop carpark was mean bike. Sold it to buy a couple new twostroke power tools i gota nsr 125 aswell. longterm project haha. ive put new tyres on it and chain plus sprokets. Still gota sort the throttle grip out and do the fork seals then its off for a vin
  12. that would be cool as if you could man. bike shops said they could do it but they dont have access to the correct size spokes. motorcycle shops said fuck we aint done shit like that since 1976 but heres a number for a guy who does it. i will ring this man on monday. nobody else in ak can help me by the looks of it. I rang up the entire yellow pages
  13. men im guna goto the byclicle shop right now and see if they can respoke it
