Think either the coil lead is nackered (it pulls out of the plug part once in a while) and the carb bowl floods if you leave it a while. So I have a new Carb coming, but if anyone has a spare lead, could you let me know. Thanks

I bought a new seat cover from ebay, looks rather mint compared to the duct tape old one. Only issue is it doesnt fit snugly at the moment. apparently it will get tighter over time. And I gave the wheels a quick once over to bring some shine back Nah I still have the chrome mirrors, they just stashed away for now. Gonna learn to scooter and then probably go buy a 70cc almunium barrel kit

Picked this up 2 weeks ago. I hear it's been down the O/S family. When I got it it wouldn't start. A quick clean of the carb and bingo, ran brilliantly. I didn't approve of random green rattle can in the middle, so I decided I might try get some painting experience. This is what followed. I decided a full strip down, paint and rebuild was in order. The strip down was entertaining, have never stripped a scoots before. putting it back together over the next few days. Might get a 70cc kit and a sweet zorst for max doorting

I pulled the front wheel off and something got stuck, gave it a yank, and heard a poop from the front shock. Now it is loose like a yankee mother of 15, and I cannot compress it all the way. Would it have pulled out of a seal of some sort? Is this fixable??

In regards to scooter bike frames. If it was originally made out of steel, can I make one out of aluminium tube? Does it need to be certed or anything of the sort. For a 50cc engine

In my lancer if I ever ran 91 I would get horrendous run on. Then when I switched to 95, BAM! and the run on was gone.

Yup. Not keen to sell it. Just thought I'd do it and see if anyone would buy it, if they did then I'd be super happy with the coin and buy a wagon or a van. only recent things I have done to the vehicle are changed the number plate location so that it doesn't block the mouth anymore (engine bay was getting WAY hot). And raised the rear 8mm to stop rubbing. Driving this car through the coromandel while it was "slammed" was the least enjoyable experience I have had whilst owning this car. It caused this to happen aswell, could not go over a raise in the road without it scraping.

What's the deal with basecoat colouring? For flat colours I read use darker version as base then lighter as topcoat. This stops the primer from showing through. However I also heard that for candy colours they often use a silver or gold basecoat, I assume this would be to add some sort of shine? So what would happen with a silver base and say a yellow topcoat? shiny yellow??

Thanks heaps. Nah the extra camber is just a by product of lowering the vehicle. Would be keen on painting the roof red, however funds don't allow me to yet and don't really want to rattle can it haha. If it was in river road area would probably have been my midi's place.
