  1. Looked ewwer IRL TBH. Damn, no love for the black centers ayy, will be painting them tomorrow/today if its fine, and still dont know what colour to do them? Fluro green?
  2. Shit me, I didnt even notice, I just cant turn the awesome off. Think I will just roll black centers, and then decide if I should black out grey on car or not.
  3. Exactly. Shits like $18.00 a can too. May practise for when im an old man, and go complain and try get my money back.
  4. Yes, but they sell a shiney primer thats meant to give the same finish, and its no where near.
  5. Have been sorting out the wheels for this, shined them up and cleaned them ready for paint. Had my heart set on piss off bright chromey gold, so purchased some fancy paint and special primer from repco, but it turns out nothing like the indicated colour, comes out a horrid orange colour, So I got the shits and quickly painted over it in black just to see what it looks like (as i'm going to have to strip it back anyways) I have to clean up the grey part of the car, and was going to paint that gloss black also, so the whole car will be black, I think the black looks ok with the shiney rim, but is it all a little to black?
  6. Gee willikers Mr, thats swell, made my Friday that did.
  7. You are a god to me. Also, I have full bike licence, I can double you on the handle bars?
  8. Cheers for the info chap, bloody rippa. If I try the old flip and rotate on the back axle, it should lower the back about 50mm, so those springs in the front would be perfect (im assuming our cars share the same struts?) Also, regarding wheel nuts, my car has one acorn wheel nut on it that works with wheels made for 12mm studs, I think it may be off a mid 80's swift? I'm going to try find a set, and if I fail i'll have to do the same conversion you have, so I can fit my mags.
  9. Yes, much love for this thang, wish I had a two door, so chur. May I ask what model starlet the the springs are from? Are they kings? annnnnnnnd how much lower is it with them in there? Churs.
  10. It was $190, and seems pretty good for the $$, has a trillion neat features N shit. It just has a dirty old magnetic pick up for the speed, no fancy hall effect sensors or anything (it is made in america after all)
  11. Ordered some parts from Japan I did, they showed up today, so I now have, New CDI: Chameleon Factory Performance Pulley Kit: KN "Ride till die!" drive belt: I also got this as I will no doubt need a 300kmh speedo, a Trail tech Vapor stealth: And one of these is on its way from the U.S. of A: Will slap up pics soon of what i've done to the scooter itself. Also i'm picking up an 86 FA50 this weekend, its going to be my cruzer/off roader/wifes scooter.
  12. Thats a sexy assembly of reel mowers. I pine for a pedal start B&S myself.
  13. Chur, thanks for the info, bloody rippa. I pulled the drive off last night and found it only had three rollers in it? Has room for the std six, im thinking someone has pulled three out at some point? The ones that are in there are pretty worn, one was fucked, like 2g had worn off it. They are indeed 17x12 rollers, but are about 15g. I guess I should find out what it was meant to have in it and go from there? The tune pipe I was going to get is just a dirty old tecnigas, they aren't completely shit are they?
  14. Im about to order some shit for this bad ass mother fucker, but need some advice. Im going to be running a tune pipe, and want to know what weight rollers I should get. A few places that sell the pipes supply the rollers with them, and I believe they are lighter than standard. Is the idea that by running lighter rollers the scoots will accelerate faster, and get the motor up in the revs where the tune pipe will do its thang? Any idea on what weight rollers I should get? Or how much lighter than standard is a good idea?
  15. We could start doing what we had talked about in the middle north fred, each month just pick a town/city and location, and bang, have meat.
  16. All G bra, the tires are pretty poo's so can have them taken off for ya if needs be. Will keep an ear out for people heading those ways also.
  17. Simon: box is gone, along with alllllllllllll the running gear sorry. brolancer: You would think so, but no, shes a hard woman. Truenotch: Wont be getting anything for a few years sadly, have too many projects as it is, and 86 is being neglected. Y-max: Fucken ayy, SGS needs some love, and im all about the fuckin scoots at the mo. jakesae101: Just got them back from father in law before he stole em, they owe me $130, you all G with that?
  18. Got round to pulling this to bits tonight, and its officially fucked, so if anyone wants parts hit me up. (Have a buyer lined up for the motor/loom/ecu/box/drive shafts/front hubs and brakes)
  19. Chur, knew about them, but im pretty sure you can bring in gear yourself for much cheaper. This place has some of the same stuff as scootling for half the price http://japan.webike.co.nz/ but want to be super sure about what im getting, their descriptions are pretty odd due to translation, was hoping there was a good US site to geeze at.
  20. Good day, I decided I need yet another project thread on OS. It will no doubt be like accidently sleeping with a thai lady boy prostitute, leaving you feeling dirty and unfulfilled, but hey, these things happen. I purchased a 2000 Suzuki AZ50X (same as a LetsII I think) from a girl I know, it had been lightly crashed a couple of times, but was in pretty good nick, still runs like a kitten dreaming about purrs. Any who, i've taken all the plastics off, and plan to cut off everything I dont need (like mounts for stuff im removing) and basicly only running what I need for it to be road legal/able to run. What I need some advice on is, wheres the best places to import scooter parts from? Anyone know of any sites in the US or japan that are good to get bits from? To start with I want a tune pipe and CDI, I will make up my own intake and filter to suit, and then re-jet it. Any advice or help would be great! Will post up some pics once i've done something interesting.
  21. Ha, I didnt think of that, my father inlaw has one, shall nick it and check temps. Cheers chaps.
