  1. An aquantiance of mine had one for years with a 2.3 in it. went extremely well, had a single 48mm sidedraft on it......but in talking to him 3 or 4 years ago with whats available now he would go Jap DOHC....
  2. Pressure plate will probably be earlyish 4.1 as the flywheels are basically the same, apart from the bolt holes which require sleeving down.......11mm holes with 3/8 bolts theres a bit of slop......
  3. Boe. There a bit of an oddballed sized spline on those ZFs. Holden will go on but it will be loose and most prolly fuck the spline on the box. You dont want that eh Landrover is a good fit but Outside Diameter of pressue plate is bigger. Do you know whether its got a pro made or backyardigan made bellhousing on it cos if it aint built properly you'll end up with a shitload of problems. most stockies graunch into low anyway due to homemade bellhousings been not exactly plumb, mine used to. Is good for intimidation/fuckwit factor
  4. Did you buy some spare rotors???????????
  5. Random ok but this is what happens inside a falcon dizzy when you get hit. The dizzys driven off the crank. When you get the shunt (or doing the shunt) the inertia moved the crankshaft in the block microscopically. Because the dizzy is bolted to the block it cannot move, so the gear on the dizzy travels "up" the teeth on the gear, causing it to contact with the top of the cap. This can be that hard that it will actually break the cap on suicide hits..... Can be reduced by removing the bottom geat and shimming it with copper/brass washers so it has very little play.. check that module aint wet....
  6. the rotor button in the cap isnt jammed up into the cap solid?????
  7. Highly possible. Get out the 5.56 CRC boe.....
  8. Personally never used an XF dizzy in any of our cars, but know they are widely used cos theyre easier to find. I dont know what is needed/involved with using one of them though......Imagine you would need an external box from an XF and rewire....
  9. they rebush easy. Any good Bosch Service Agent should have them in stock.....That and the module is about all that goes wrong in them...
  10. Hmmm got a spare module Id try that. Spark should be bright and clear with an XD dizzy. They can collapse quite easy, particularly if second hand. I put a brand new one in mine the third time and gave me no further issues.....
  11. Thats a XD electronic. Ummm got any spark at all? ie pull plug out earth it out and crank over...... If its got no spark its shit the module.. mine did 2 in the time I owned it
  12. Sorry boe cant see pics on work comp.....
  13. two piece dizzy cap ie base and cap with plug lead ends or normal??
  14. and was it pointing at No1 lead????
  15. my EX has the ORIGINAL tyre size sticker on inside of door specifying a 155/70/13 for a 1200
  16. pull the rotor out of the dizzy and look at the locating tab, can almost guarantee thats what it is bro......I know its a cunt getting the cap off but, just fucking do it ok.......dizzy will spin, but the rotor wont be pointing where its meant to be.
  17. Dig up old post. Meh. That wont be a 6.5 diesel. thats a small block so it will be a 5.7..... still sweet diesel donk though.....you can tell by exhaust port lay out. if the two "middle" ports are together its a small block. If they are spaced apart evenly (all 4 per bank) tis a Big Block ie 6.2 or 6.5, applies to Chev petrol and diesels...
  18. Check your rotor boe. Common fault with falcs in stockcars. Its prolly spun the tab off. Stockcar fact no3 Always always always have 3 spare rotors in tool box if you run a 3.9 or a 4.0.....only takes one good hit and bam fuckzord
  19. So keen for one of these myself, contact heading stateside soon so see what he can dig up.....
  20. Yeah revvy little motor, not as good as Camaro 302 SB but yeah still sweet. Set of ally heads, good cam, headers and a good 4bbl and youre easy 350-400 horse.....
  21. In dollar value better to restore to original.... awesome score.
