  2. Just brought wheels bearings yesterday and fork seals today and have no idea when my frame and parts are due back from powdercoating then I can reassemble it . Really wanna get a solid 300k ride in before loading it on the truck for the big trip north
  3. Yeah these bikes are so simple and so much fun. Hit up Callum for some shinko 80/90 17. They fit great and handle well and they look good too. about 65 each . Sportier tread pattern too
  4. Fizzin mate ! Im running a 2.75 x 17 rear Vee Rubber and 2.75 x 19 front Avon speedmaster. They grip great thru the corners

  7. After already spending the time to modify CT90 pegs to fit . It felt like a mutiple orgasm when I found them for $45 all ready to bolt on . Had to modify brake pedal anyway to clear the motor as its wider. Plus the bonus is with the new ones is they are hinged so when you lean it in they dont dig into the road and try and high side you.

  9. Im building 2 identical bikes at the same time but only taking mine with me for East Cape but this is where im at. Stripping ready for final welding before off to Sandblasters and then Powdercoaters. Ordering last few parts over the next fortnight then im reassembling. Hopefully have a week or 2 up my sleeve before the ride for some shakedown Ks

  11. Yeah im just gonna take my Kathmandu Silk Thermal sleeping bag liner instead of a sleeping bag to save space. That and the Hammock Tent will serve me well

  17. CT70 Replica Bars .check Narrowed luggage rack. check. Small top tube. check Small rectangle Headlight. check Bar end Mirror. check Just got Slash cut High top muffler to fit & Taillight and Number plate mount then ill strip it for Sandblasting and Powdercoating
  18. Jeez its been awhile since ive updated this thread. The big ol Van has been a bloody solid classic to get around in. Since this last post ive done the king pin bushes again. Done the front wheel bearings. Had the timing and carb tickled up at a local workshop which is probably due again. Replaced the tyres.Ive done some rust which I need to continue with. Its attacking at top of the windscreen and bottom of doors and a few roof gutter spots. Have slept in the van probably a few dozen times now. Done Wagnats once. A OS nats in national park. OS Grasskhana. A few OS hanmer meets. All the QCR Dirtmasters. A few NY camping missions and a stags do. Its a great Van and ill get onto the rust work again soon when its warms up a bit more. Need to slam some fish oil in alot of the cavitys and at some point a bolt on efi system because we use it a fair bit
