hmmm the motul stuff doesnt seem to be available in Ak at the moment... Have got some Penrite Sin 600 Plus Brake Fluid, I hear the Racebrakes guys use it in their race car... will let you know how it went after the nats. track day... and also have some fancy slotted rotors now

What best to use on the track? I have had bad fade at the end of my last 2 track days. As the pedal has felt soft until a complete flush I suspect I am boiling the fluid(?). Whats the best stuff available around here to use?

Bike (pedal type) shops have them, know theres a whitewall 20 inch, and I know plain black is available in 26 but would have to enquire about 26 inch whitewalls

26inch wheels? highly recommend hookworms as the tire...

they did ask me for a chassis #... unsure what would have happened if I had said I didnt have one...

Engine now in the frame (had to swap in the old head (which needed a 10mm long reach socket to remove)) To do: Extend pedal shaft so pedal can clear exhaust (note pedal missing in photo for measuring) Fit CDI magic box, the instructions are in french/italian, so am afraid of blowing it up Find Bowden (I think thats what they're called) ends for my throttle and choke cable Tweak exhaust hanger (less urgent, but should be done for tidiness)

shame Ashburton is so far away... but reminiscent of my all time favourite 'ped

324mm x 30mm front rotors and 322mm x 22mm rear rotors...

you have a 350 skyline? if not why are you asking? aside from the lefthand driveness and redness this is what mine looks like:

the brakes perform well, but get super hot at the track and suffer from serious fade by the end of the day... Brembo's are larger than standard, but also by default aren't slotted....

they already are brembo's so largish rotors... no way of knowing life span without trying....

hmmm rotors and pads are shot from my day out at Hampton Downs... I have 2 options standard rotors + street/race pads at $500 or slotted rotors + street/race pads at $1500 thoughts?

there are 2 spots up for grabs tonight at east tamaki 8.30 $60 I wont be online again, so sort it out amongst yourselves if anyone is keen?
