Things are looking good, I can't wait! O/S Nats '08?

Those are aws, GFT or something. Pillarless and quads FTW

Slowly getting things sorted, a bit more urgent as the daily just died a little inside. Whipped the M/C & Booster out of the red brumby and stuffed them in there. Stops crazy weird fast now, rears lock up under hardish/not really braking, feels way too effective --- meh, at least it stops now. Brakes still making kinda weird noises and sticking a bit up the front, so Maybe next weekend I'll get to look at the front calipers. Brumby M/C & Booster vs GSR one Won't be needing these fellas

Mmm, could be sweet, anyone know of somewhere that does them? Not having much luck with most parts places..

I dunno on the dualcarbs thing. Seem pretty rare, The 1400 was prone to a few problems from what I've heard anyway tho, so might see about working one of the 1800 I've got lying about seeing as its already been toyed with and attempt to leave uterus standies. Might try source a better box too, think I found one dumped up the valley the other day that could do the trick. Does like 4000rpm at 100k. Not cool. That ute in the bushes makes me sad, Must be so many round like that. Don't really know a whole lot to be honest, bit of an oddball car. Only one available then with a brake booster, front discs, the dualcarbs of course. Can't think. Different gearbox going by the feel of the ratios. Different trims and things to the ordinary 1400's. Really just need to rip in and get learning. Lack motivation/time/sick of cars by the weekend.

just pictures, no real update here.

Oh yeah. I'm also pretty stoaked at the deal I got. Dude was a real good cunt, I'll be referring him to oldschool as he claimed to have a few other cool OS mobiles, and lived in Taupo/lets all camp on his lawn next year/probably not good idea. I'm tryin to figure out at the moment if the booster and M/C off crashed red brumby are the same/similar, as that thing braked awesome (for what it was). Bonnet cable is poked also, old man reckons soak it in some diesel to loosen it up. Will keep looking for replacement. At the moment screw driver does the trick ok/ish. Can't think of much else for now, wondering what it will look like with white wheels like on the brumby + possible lowerage. Opinions/Photoshops?

Ok, so It all started one sunday morning. Was told about a Subaru GSR on trademe that I'd missed. Reserve $1. Long story short. I won it, $46. Got it home and shes pretty dang tidy. Will endevour to get wof'd up asap and definately convoy with ute to next oldschools. Now its supposed to have ea63(s?) in it, which is 1400 dualcarb which is supposed to be good for 90 odd hp, and was a real speed machine according to various sources. Instead, its been repowered sometime in its life with an ea71, 1600 single carb, unsure but probably something like 60, maybe 70 horse's at best, engine is an unknown combo at the moment tho so no idea to be honest. Got it home, whipped battery on charge and set about getting it to run. Fired up real easy with a bit of gas down its throat and seems to purr real well considering PVC system is all over the place and vaccum advance goes nowhere/assorted other little things. Brake booster and possibly master cylinder appears shagged, so here starts the terrible mission of trying to source replacements or rebuilds. Any ideas anyone? Steering rack seems possibly a little suspect, but I'll leave that up to the WOF inspector. Plans? Get wof, get reliable, pull plows, Uh I mean hoes. pictures! Werd. They do? Whys that? Yeah link g3's are the man. Only gay thing - they only have 2 injector drives still.... so you have to run the injectors in pairs. Its prehistoric technolody these days and the computer would be competitive with the big guys if it had one. I think they do it just so people still opt for the Link Plus for the big jobs. I work at holden and theres just a general tendancey to hate vectras astras and pretty much any holden actually to be honest. But yeah they're probably all 'g' once out of the vectra poo's and has new engine management. I like the project anyway, choice little car. rofls.. you work at Holden and theres a general tendancy to hate all Holdens? Thats awesome, and completely understandable. I would never own a Holden or anything built by them to be honest I did alot of research on this engine before I opted for it. Granted its not as reliable as some japanese engines (for example) may be, but I don't think its too bad. Most of the problems seem to stem from the discusting factory engine management system, as you mentioned. This is still in the Vectra so I should be sweet Don't worry. Holden are slowly moving away from the euro stuff anyway. And the Austrailian stuff too. Korea is where its at boe..
