  1. So anyone on here know a crack tester that can test my front struts? In Palmy?
  2. You might be surprised how sympathetic the Vin man is with an old classic bike in factory looking form. The fella that did my most recent revins certainly was. Looks great. I bet it goes a lot better than my old GT185 too
  3. Nothing like undressing a lady and finding all her curves are flawless (even though shes 35) Apologies for potato with flash pics but I have never seen a floor plan on a 35 year old car look so clean and tidy.
  4. Did a bit of titu-ing on this yesterday to get out of the house. oh dear, caramel milkshake best guard dog ever waiting patiently for me to throw his ball
  5. Wow, that interior is AWESOME in fact the whole car is awesome. The older I get the more I feel the pine for 80's box style.
  6. Wowee, THAT is a project! I take my hat off to you Sir.
  7. Should be fine with getting another lense. Fella I got the lense off owns a SC100 and a BIG load of spares. He has the Suzuki Cappuccino F6A 3-cyl turbo engine in his. ticking is fuel pump Makara run Engine virtually bolted in apparently. Would be kind of cool however 660cc 3-cyl turbo vs 1000cc 4-cyl cannot be that different. I would rather a GSXR1000 engine !
  8. DO want this low; Speaking to a couple of people may not be easily done due to stupid front suspension hitting stuff? baha!
  9. Thought I was real clever tracking down some tail lights. Then I put them in the car = mint! Then I tested them and first thought that the wiring for brake/indicator must be wrong on right hand side. Then I looked again and had to laugh at myself out loud. It turns out that at some year/years Suzuki must have swapped locations of the brake/tail lights! Lenses are identical apart from location of colours. Who does that! Looking on net, I cannot find one picture of the lense configuration shown on right?! Hopefully the guy I got them off still has one that matches either of them. Replaced broken spot light too, but it is not 100% the same either, dang it!

Suppose you could technically call this progress. Best thing about bikes? Tore the whole thing down in 1.5 hours Now, off to someone who can magically join metal with a hot stick.
  11. Ahhh, so much second hand value on this forum. Keeping it all in the wider family.
  12. Front /rear disassembled ready for blasting + crack testing of struts Rear sway sway Frontal lowering (910 Bluebird struts/brakes) One of these things is not like any other in NZ....

What the hell have I been doing! I just read I have had this since 2013, I'm gonna spend a few days on it this week.
  14. More viewing pleasure Under the front hood, hides the radiator and ridiculous radiator hoses that run to the back of the car. Factory side draft baby! The factory exhaust looks near new. FIRE GLAZE! (whatever that means) A difference with the fronte is the rear window hatch glass actually lifts up like a hatch back Damn pollen covering everything. Got it started but milky oil suggests head gasket fail.
  15. Dan I have lots of form for unfinished projects. I have now completed 4 motorcycles though. The Kwaka still coming Chris, don't you worry.
  16. First off, diff choice Did a bit of reading of Internet speculation regarding diff choices. Found out the truth myself. Measured approximately. Left is diff from S110 silvia 1380mm length - H165 disc brake, bolts straight in, has a sway bar too = obvious choice mid is diff from C20 Van 1410mm length - H165 disc brake (custom modified to fit four link by oldmatedan and was fitted to beige car) Right is diff from Sunny (OEM) 1370mm length - H150 drum rear end (now used by some ministocker)
  17. Go on Crusty, you know you wanna bag me for starting projects and not finishing them
  18. Plenty to do here. Got the itch for another car and found the cheapest Datsun I could - a Sunny. First I bought off Grant (who owns my old 1200 coupe) a really tidy Sunny in a great factory colour. Grant really cared for this car. He's clearly a perfectionist - like me. Took it for a few cruises over summer until WOF ran out. Then I did what I do best and pulled it all apart I bought Oldmatedan's Sunny which had plenty of fruit already attached. eg Not a fan of the beige so I have commenced swapping it all over to the tidier shell. Plenty more to follow.
  19. So I may have accidentally won this at the Wanganui Auction a month or so back. The Cervo SC100 is the successor to the Suzuki Fronte (two stroke.) Sold in the UK as the Suzuki Whizzkid. This has the F10A 4 cylinder, 4 stroke 1000cc big block used in Suzuki Samurai and those little Carry vans. Could not resist. Prob just going to save for a rainy day, just need some storage space! It is dereg but has only done under 60,000km and is still in system. Was missing tail lights but found some + replacement front spot light through a guy in Welly when randomly trawling net. He as one with a Suzuki Cappuccino 660cc 3 cylinder turbo engine! RR configuration, tried to take photos of engine bay + front trunk space but phone was playing up and turning itself off.
  20. Nice!!! Sounds great, keep up the good work
