still running a generator on it? probably the battery has had a hard poorly charged life and is passed it 9.5v under load is right at the time to look for a new battery stage
-
How many hours running tho
-
Gt40 fine, gt40R not fine
-
Pertronics set ups want minimum 3 ohm coils if I remember correctly, can't use a coil that was for a ballest resistor system (i. E if it's a gt40R) The high performance coils also caused problems, due to the output

simple green has been doing some good things to my oily filth, cleaned my oil soaked carpets out with it and no complaints
-
fwiw, 9.6v is about the lowest you would expect an ok battery to drop when cranking
-
thats an excessive voltage drop on the battery, probably its on its way out. A battery load tester is about $20 if you want another gadget for the shed, or can take it to a supercehap or whatever to test assume you have the correct ohms coil for the electric distributor, and have gotten rid of the ballast resistor

I'm told they are pretty indestructible, don't have the 750 or 400 tax either, but AFAIK they are "the same"

If turners is selling a vehicle as dereg, but ltsa shows it as still live, do they dereg it before handing it over? or is it just a mistake on their data entry

I ha e done a towel wet with it, then covered with plastic, to do large panels like a ute tray
-
could have used a rivnut i ebay'd some vintage braze ons a while ago, probably got a pack floating about still
-
Mines got a pull choke knob. Twisted it one way, then the other, tried pulling it gently, tried pulling it hard. Left unsatisfied. Probably the cable is corroded in the sheath. Will check that spring, I assume the choke is stuck off, but I have seen them messed with and stuck on due to bypassing a stuck cable, so good place to start Also I'm hot wiring it, which was very easy
-
Brum brum, I sure do like an inline 4 Choke cable seems to be stuck, all my batteries go flat after 1 crank on this, probably they are all stuffed, but still they can start cars. I feel I can hear something not dissimilar from piston slap, pretend it's a 2 stroke

They are great for leaning your hand on when working on the engine at least

I think the rear suits the huge tank. As a side sharn, I also can't stand those skateboard type seats, expecially when you have like a big BMW and a tiny seat on the back. Terrible

yea it was sold as an 80, and thats what i think it is, rego as an 81.
