  1. Back on the dyno today with the new radiator and intercooler, it works. Did 6 9second runs in a row from 1600-7600rpm It levels out at 50 deg iat. Old set up could get up to over 90deg! while it made no more power its alot safer which was the main focus. While i was there i played with the cam timing a bit. advancing the inlet 3 deg gave about 6-10hp everywhere another 2 deg it lost the extra power down low so i put it back. i moved the exhaust 2 deg either way and it lost power both ways. Basically it holds on a bit longer up top and doesent fall over untill about 7300rpm. Now i just need to find some events to use it!
  2. Just an idea.... And it's a pretty shit one. But you could remove the vac diaphragm unit off the side of the unit and install a 12v solenoid to push or pull on the arm. Then use a switch on your throttle to activate it. Actually fuck that put a link on it to run all the timing and be done with it haha
  3. Il check against a wilwood and tilton one when I'm home. Did u measure with vierners or a yard stick?
  4. To suit what cylinder? Or what size is the neck
  5. Iv been pretty busy after work this week as you can see! free image host
  6. Installing my new PWR intercooler and radiators as we speak. 450x400x80 tube and fin core. I tryed water injection but it just put the Fire out I think. Didn't love it, methanol isn't a Motorsport no approved fuel so I can't use that. I'm sure this cooler will make a difference over my current China spec one
  7. dyno graph above is before and after head mods. Iv never seen this done before, but it worked in my head so I did it. Partly Welded up the water port holes close to firing ring to give the head extra strength here, then I cnc Machined the face, but I put a slight step to increase the clamping force on the gasket around the cylinder, look closely at the last pic.

  9. Photo less update New flywheel and twin plate tilton installed. I had issues with the head lifting so I striped the motor down and did some mods to the head. Had it back on dyno and its a good 20hp to 30hp up over the whole rev range. So that's good, no lifting either. Next race is weekend before Xmas at manfeild.
  10. If she starts and runs then quickly get it to the dyno asap haha. Where are you based?
  11. Change master fuel to about 40 and dry the spark plugs out and report back
  12. 2 sync errors is fairly typical. Deft check injector resistance with it unplugged. You want about 13 ohms As said voltage is weirdly low. Normally Ecuador would shut down at this low voltage
  13. Are you at the South pole? -4 water temp??
  14. Basically you have a fuel table, Then there is the master fuel number. The master is the multiplier for the fuel table. So if you double the injector size then a good place to start is halving the master fuel.
  15. Also Has any welding been carried out on the motor or car with out the Ecu being compleaty unplugged? The V5 has a tendency to loose its memory and resort back to factory settings with a voltage spike. A screen shot will tell me yay or nah
  16. Where are you based? Just fluffing with the idle won't do much. 12v both sides is normal if the injector is still plugged in or another injector on the same channel is still plugged in. A v5 only has 2 channels. Put up a screen shot of your fuel base map.
  17. cost depends alot on what material is being machined. I charge alot more for stainless than alloy. Stainless wears tooling out, alloy doesn't. Steel is pretty easy too. But yea all depends. feel free to email me solidworks models if you want a quote. jason@mjcustom.co.nz
  18. Hey guys. I will be in chch tonight and need to find a place to swap tyres onto rims. There's 10 to do and we can do it our selves or how ever you want to do it and can donate some beers t the fridge. Any takers? It will be about 7pm when we need to do this. If you want to look at all the rally cars look up the silver fern rally website! Please contact me on 0274655927 Txt is better as we have limited coverage as we are racing over from Westport today. Cheers guys! Hope someone can help!
