I have heard that by putting your heater setting to hot but not turning the fan on that makes the water travel further. But you don't want to have to rely on this to keep the temp. down.

I have recently just put a mk4 cortina radiator in my escort, looked the same as the 1600 one. I heard that for the sump you can just hit the original one with a hammer, does it work if you do this or is it just rangi?
