  1. I think you'd be right. 4age turbo = easily bolt in, more power. sr20det would be awesome, although I can't see why you'd look past the 3sgte, really IMO of course
  2. CaMpylobacter

    rubber

nor would it handle nicely plus it'd look shithouse!!!!! get some wider rims y0.
  3. awesome, would be fairly original to do somehting other than a shit drill/USB port rotary convert 2litre b2000/rwd 626 engine would be easier to fit I would imagine... although they suck 4g63bt would be awesome in one of them
  4. saw this roockin down fitzherbet av in palmy on friday night, needed a towel, awesome car!!!!
  5. hit it with a nos foger system or yeah, rs legacy water/air - less lag etc than a front mount
  6. what's left to do?
  7. love it hard, gimme a txt if you'r out in town in it on friday or saturday nights, keen for a look, and I'm usually in town doing one thing or another 027 4284204
  8. fuck that is so awesome!!!!! favourite car on this site, true story!!! just need to even the camber up front to rear (i assume it's IRS? - hence the rear camber) so awesome... mash a 1jz or somehting in there....
  9. that's how ya work out where to put balance pipes as well, with thermo crayons
  10. caboon will buy that dash off ya
  11. ae86 bits, bolt in, get disc rear, and a lot larger/stronger diff head. can prove costly in this day in age, initial d ruined that for ya. try toyspeed, theres bound to be something on there
  12. bout $150 to get rear leaves set, around the same for lowering blocks. front springs are $200 or alternatively http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3385 shouldnt need to change shocks, although I would, seeing as they're prolly roooooted
  13. carinas are only about as heavy as an '86 - around a tonne...
  14. looks cool bro, just don't debumper it
  15. haha, yeah repco sucks cock. ring sparkle he'll get you one I'm sure
  16. that's random as.... i wouldnt have thought that it would stop unless it cooked hard only way of checking is looking for water stains coming out the seal/bearing vent hole by the pulley, or around the shaft, and lso the bearing - whether it's noisy or worn (shaft play etc)
  17. water pumps are driven off the engine so yeah- only thing that will cause damage to and engine through a water pump is if the water is pissing out so much as to runout, or not be pumped around the galleries, therefore overheating it. Mini survived for more than a year before I bothered buying a new one, so long as you keep tabs on the water level, and temp level then you'll be sweet.
  18. probably, whats the point though? secondhand vacuum tank = as good as new, mega cheap etc, and repco wont even know what you're talking about i wouldnt think
  19. easy as mang, just rock to TOYOTAZ or manawatu commercial and 4x4 wreckers in palmy (keith st, or armstrong street) and get one off a hilux diesel then get a check valve. can get a pic of a check valve from work (designed for use with compressed air, but turn it around and it'll work for vacuum me thinks..maybe, will have a look tomorrow ) otherwise just get the check valve off a late model turbo jap car's brake booster system.... stops the air flowing back into the tank/booster, which you dont want it to do or the tank will be pointless and it'll mess with your engine etc pic of vacuum tank on bros filthy 4wd 'lux would be an easy as a mofo install job, hell, even sparkle/lowlancer would be able to think they could do it
  20. just a little tank, the key, and point is, I believe, to make sure that once the vacuum's "made" that it isnt lost back into the manifold, so herein lies the 1 way check valve... easy as a sunday morning....
  21. grab a vacuum tank off a diesel hilux, they have nicely done ones...... not sure if they have a check valve on their system though, seeing as they run a vacuum pump on the alternator.. you could pick up a nicely priced check valve through me would just need to know what pipe sizing you're doing etc...
  22. I thought there was a special tool for it?? meh, take head off, get it ported while you're there.... chances are the guides could be shot anyways?? meh, then you can also chuck a copper head gasket on, and go some more boooost
  23. CaMpylobacter

    SU carbs?

i think he's meaning those factory stromberg things? gah, anyways, S.U's aren;t ahrd to tune, you just need to read up on that shit/know someone that's good as with shit like that, older ex race mechanics always pwn them hard.. sparkles mechanic 'g-man' = an example of this, true story
  24. fully, like "dub style" with chromes adn neons etc, I'll win in pimp stakes alone *cough*
  25. that's what I'd do, makign sure tht the bolt slide thingy lines up with the bolt hole, so that you can lock it on place, once you've perfected the timing with a timing light, as to specs caboon said yesterday that 4g63's run 8 degrees BTDC, would imagine that's about right for yours as well... google's your friend to make sure I guess, unless you've got a manual/check to see if the "autokit" sticker's still in your engine bay/on the underside if the bonnet, they usually have the basic sort of stuff like that.
