Sounds like a blocked jet, the mitsi carbs are arses for blocking jets.

Ive always just got the thing to TDC then lined up the No1 on the dizzy cap. Then just set things from their.

^Yeah ok, turns out the heater was leaking, took 2 weeks till it spewed its guts on the mrs leg while giving it abit of a hoon...leaking heater core that is. Have fixed more things on this: Replaced most of the rear bushes with nolothane. Installed a new head unit, Alpine CDA-9887 andspeakers. Fixed a bunch of elctrical issues. One was that the front driving lights wouldnt go. Turned out to be earthed to the plastic bumper. Pretty lol. Lastly, picked up some steel wheels for the rear. 14" ROH centres welded into stepped 15" bands from Lee. They are 10" wide, but there is still a fair bit of rrom left. could run 12" but most of the increase would be on the back spacing, so not much gain to dish anyway. Now i just need to work out what to do on the front. May be able to fit 8" in the front. Theres not a hell of a alot of room though. Just need to keep an eye out for the some wheels with a similar centre, It looks like they never came out in 15" so will probably have to re-band some with stepped 15". Mite just roll 14s on the front for abit, see what its like. Wheels:

ive got a service manuel that has all that for the EX, ill let you know when i get home. What model is it? as ive got the feeling there was a difference between 1200 and 1600 etc

Yeah i have King superlows in the front, cut 20mm off the bump stop, havnt spaced the shock tower but i will fairly soon as well as fitting some shorter body shocks. Rides pretty damn well now tho.

Fixed the heater today. not sure why it had been disconnected as it was just a dodgy heater tap most likely from lack of use. Im guessing it was stuck on and the owner before me decided it was just easier to disconnect than have a functioning heater. Weird.

Looks like the 300Cs are 5x115 which could turn into a pain in the arse. Space savers? How strong are they?

How easy/how expensive are 16" tyres now days? Prob fairly wide, 235 kinda range, maybe 50 profile or something?

Haven't measured it, numbers mean nothing to me, only slammage, but guessing with a tape measure the front cross member, being the lowest point is 107mm currently from the ground.

Falcon is now 70mm odd closer to the ground. Has retained its nice right which im pretty happy about. I havnt replaced the stnadard shocks as they are all pretty new. ive been told fitting the shorter body shocks really makes the ride alot nicer, so that may be something ill do in a few months. Next will be sounds. Would like a standard Ford tape deck, fit some low key amps and retro fit some good speakers in the original boxs/dash. Standard springs VS Kings, pretty big difference.
