Man I hope @Geophy's dad changes his brand of oil. Of all the thick two smoke fumes I inhaled last year, his smelled the worst by far. -

Ferry Booked! Souf Eyelid represent! -
If they spot any rust they'll ram their cock so far up your wallets arse, itl be able to floss with their banjo string. Any rust (or evidence of previous rust repairs) will require a repair cert. I've heard horror stories of people having to remove new paint jobs to get repair cert.

Can we get an entry list in the bottom of the first post? Be nice to know who's coming. I'd hate to miss the chance to.shit yarn someone cos I didn't realise they were there. -
I was tossing up posting this in tech spam, but decided it would just get buried sooner or later and the info lost. Has anyone remade the cardboard glovebox liner for an old car? My current build had a mint glovey but some sweets/lollies liquified in it, and made it unusable. I have another, but it's more grot/a wee bit torn. What kind of card might I use to make a replacement from? And where would you even buy it? Coreflute would do the job and be easy to work with. But that's mostly white no? Discuss!

I can't wait for 200km of ten inch wheeled gravel misery. Be a solid 6-7 hours I'd say. Need to ride behind that Steve fella again. (10-5's mate?) Good pace, and not bad lines. -
Wof yes. #Watscert? #therulesdontapplytome

My 1200 never had a headliner the whole time I owned it.

That torque doesn't improve those tiny wee 25 spline units though.

I hope you enjoy your south island pest. Tbh I'm semi fit and able bodied (well drink fit anyway) and I find this challange to be a drain too. Fingers crossed for no hospital visit this year! -
It said when the sunvisor is folded as far forward toward the windscreen as it goes. Depending on how far you windscreen slopes back you'll have less cover there than when your visor is straight vertical due to its arc.

They haven't been shortened yet. The cutter that turned up off aliexpress wasn't the one pictured. So.another one is en route. Nah still.just running the shitty VG rear drum brakes with redrilled hubs to late pattern and vj drums.
-
Not me sorry. You can put the 28 spline internals into the 75 housing. But if you have set up a diff before your have to pay the diff $hop to do it for you. @Valiant has a jig to shorten housings I think.
-
We already have a hoard of bw75's. A 3.45:1 lsd 78 was I think 200-250. New bearings were around $150. The axles will be shortened in house. Bit of jiggery pokery and the bw78 crown and pinion fit inside the 75 housing. The lsd was pretty coozed. So the tape cones where machined to stop them bottoming in the housing. And shimed up to resurrect the side gear mesh. Bit of fucking around, but not super spendy. Time will tell how long it holds up. Pretty sure the crush tube has also been replaced with a solid spacer too.
-
BW78 gizzards can be shoehorned into a 75 housing with giving everything a birthday for around $500. time will take to see how long it takes me to break it.

Window washers on a 1973 vehicle. If they're there they have to work yeah? But if they're missing all good?

fuck I need to book my ferry Xing. -
I ran them on a number of engines. Copper head gasket cement between the block and the shim, and a permaseal head gasket on the other. Ran up to one bar of boost. I did suffer s few failures, but they were all detonation related. (Shit fuel, and too much boost/heat) My last engine now has a turbo on it, and is going strong in it's new life.

Re your CR issue, Might pay to see if anyone makes a "head saver shim". ACL used to make them for Datsun A series motors. They're meant to be used to drop the CR after you've had the head skimmed too much/too many times. They came in .030, and .060. (.75 and 1.5mm) They do rape your squish/quench though.
