Tis an easy ride for sure. After three days though, I'm glad I'll be riding home in a bouncy old 70 series cruiser. Lol

I believe @Valiant has a socket. Maybe a home made one? I undid an AP5 one once with a pair of 36" rigid pipe tongs. (And a long bit of pipe) guy at the parts shop (who had built a valaint once) tried to tell us "you have to take the arm out of the car to get that joint out. Make sure you mark the position of the eccentric bolts" nah m8, wont need to do that. "I'm telling you, you wont get it out in the car!" Yeah, well we already have m9, just sell us the part pleez.......

Its keen to ride the 140ish kms to Hanmer before riding 200kms. However on day three the ride home will be murder. Itll be like the seat has been swapped for a barbed wire dildo.

Also my bike has a fucked battery, a loose chain, and a sloppy cush drive. Lol.

We're gapping quakechurch around 4pm. Probably be an obligatory stop at countdown to stock up on blue loaded, snacks, and cheap beer. So should be hitting town (it's more of a village really) around 6. Just in time to check in, go see the good people who are offering the off street parking, then smash the Alpine village inn for a roast and beers. Washed down with cold beer sold by the jug. (Which is how any civilized establishment sells their ales)

Probably pay to tag them. I expect they're not following this thread religiously due to the crippling disappointment of not being able to come.

I think day one is the longest. I can cover 200 kms too. I was thinking of taking a 1ltr bottle of gas just in case.

We're going to whack a 20ltr on one of the back up trailers. But you might be in for a bit of a wait if you run out of gas. (I seem to recall you were pretty well up there on the te urewera ride) I'd recommend trying to carry some extra fuel yourself if you can.

I'm sure we'll get buy. There were 32 bikes at last years NI bike pest. And we coped.

How big are they? We have two 70 series cruisers with trailers. Maybe bring garbage bags to keep the dust off them if they need to go on a trailer?

We're going to give them.a spreadsheet of rego numbers of vehicles being left there, and payment in one lot.

$40 if you wanna leave your car in the off street parking we've arranged. $20 if you dont.

Bit of a long shot, But does anyone have a 17" (I think) tube that they're not sure of the origins of? I bought one for this ride, but now that my bike and I are home, I dont know what happened to it? With the epic deathmatch molesworth ride looming up fast, it'd be nice to have the spare tube I already bought, rather than needing to buy another spare one.

Also i feel you've made an incredibly poor choice in which car to buy. But I do thoroughly enjoy your build threads. (I guess it's more about the journey than the destination) I'll be snacking popcorn quietly somewhere at the back.
