  1. Wish my eyes had cameras.

Been some good spotting in the last week.

That red econovan on chromes with mirror tints was pulsing away at the gas station across the way about 3 days ago.

Yesterday a maroon Toyota ke20 corolla on modgies and mirror tints was pulsing away at the back of work.  And today spotted a very clean deep blue series 1 rx7 in traffic that was also pulsing but wasn't loud which was also nice.

  2. Total retard moment.  I have a sky team 125 in a honda c50.

Its leaked all its oil out.  Have a new seal coming tomorrow but I need some oil.

What would people recommend? Prefer something that's easy to find lol.

    Thanks babes.

One of these could be it as not many vans can pull off 13s

    I approve.

there is the possibility I may copy you because you are rad,

  4. No build,  vit the best I have done was do a Rover v8 conversion on a chrome bumper MGB.

Involved a bit more firewall cutting than intended thats for sure.

Given how lame Rover motors are I wouldn't recommend it these days lol.

Im sure there was someone on here a while ago doing a Toyota 1uz v8 swap on one,  but couldn't tell you more than that.

Become a pioneer and build what you want.  Not what others have done. That's my advice.

  5. I have used supreme screens to sort the screen on my crown wagon in the past as a cashy. I can't remember the details but his name might have been Steve maybe?

    But in all honesty no.

There is auto house and glass in Porirua who we service there vehicles for. Barry (lol) who owns the place is pretty good.  But I can't state on there work as haven't used them.

My HG Holden windscreen leaks like F*&"!. This is after a new seal and two refits by the Levin crowd. Gave up on them and just try to keep it out of the rain now.

    Keen to try?

    @RB30VB

Want to fix my leaky HG Holden windscreen? Can leave it in J-ville for the day during the week.

After 3 years it might be time to give up.

Niki got no where with this after a bunch of trying.

Unfortunately the Weed is strong with this one.

  7. Well yeah.  Without a doubt it will be an E series diff. And most likely just a w55. Which is all good.!

As for bolt in upgrades,  there are few F series live axle options around, these are going to be from a Toyota crown.  They are potentially wider tho and I would be very surprised if the arms lined up given the epic difference in chassis design. I have never had both side by side.

Can also pull F series diffs from Toyota Estimas, some of which come in a brake disc'd 5 link option. So might be something to look into.

How the fuck did I become such a Toyota Barry :/

Yeah sorry I guess I wasn't quite clear in my post.

What I meant was that its witchcraft trying to identify what gear box it is just by looking at the outside.

Most people will claim that a W box with a steel center plate is a w58 but this isn't always true.

So how do I tell which w box it is? It's all alloy and 5 speed. Depending on where u look it could be a 50, 55, 56, 57 or 58.

If it's all alloy then it won't be a w50 as they are steel casing.  So that's rad.  As for what it might be out of the w55s etc its all witch craft in my opinion.

As @Carsnz123 said, if you are lucky it might have the info on the firewall build plate.  But if its nz new which It probably is then can be a little vague with details.

This is what a correctly stamped build plate should look like.

If looking at the plate,  the second line from the bottom labeled trans/axle covers what transmission and diff are in the car.

So yours will probably read w5* and E*** the * represent what ever numbers identify the ratios of both.

In the picture above you can tell this car has an a340 auto and a G series diff which is same as a hilux.

One random question.  I assume you're gearbox shift pattern is conventional, doesn't have the reverse jammed up to the top left or anything?

I only ask as some ozzy built ones that also made there way over here have borgwarner gearboxes and diffs.
