  3. u would need to completly remove it for it to sit properly i reckon the driveshaft would be at too much a an angle to be reliable (consantly having to replace uj and /or rear gearbox bearings... had a talk to a couple of guy at work today and they siad just cut it and move it ...ill ask next time im at vtnz

  5. as far as i know the coating is a ceramic coating ..keeps heat in were its ment to be ... i could be wrong but my mates 4agze levin had that

    i can weld so if i looked at that id do it myself but i might be better if u just replace it with something u want or such ...thatd take 5 mins for a pitstop guy to do if they anygood but itd just rust away/crack again ...ur call tho
  7. if u have ne extra coin adn someone who works in fibergalss get the to make up a carbon kevlar blanket AFTER the steel plate should stop anything but the biggest chunks getting thru haha ( and no i dont know what a scatter blankets made of so yea) , sure the twin pulleys helps the bearing in the alt last longer or sum shit ..meh , ace projest tho is it at ur jervis pad?? back up in vegas for the weekend yussss , might roll by and have a lil driveby look if i can see it

  11. are you sure there is a ridge in the combustin chamber part of head (between intake & exhuast valves) and by getting rid of that im sure it increases acapacity as there is more free space , i could be wrong tho im not a engine guru btw this is on a carbied engine

  13. u can make a 3.9 a 4.0 by grinding off the lil ridge in the head that fukin simple as done it a few times now, if u gonna put in a 4ltr tho migbht as well make it own and xr6t it , just read up about a 1000hp street driven one (when i say street driven i mean no low rpm probs)

    eats everything bar metal , dipped a falcon bloock and head etc (incl water pump) and it was fine bar the seal
  15. yea im thinking (from what going on) that it could be the fuel pump like vapour locking or maybe even the diaphrm spring being buggered causing bowl to go empty intermittdantly....u could be lucky and have one thhat u can pull apart ... but most likly a sealed one in which case....gutted ...ORRR it could be like my esky whcihc did it when i gave it a decent thrash and it would miss more the further down on the throttle i went ...just fixed itself after a while
  16. yea do the simple cheaps things first dont wanna spend $$ on getting the injectors done if one of the leads is leaking or a plug is buggered

    yea well i dont get that cos i run my 1600 on 96 with plugs that were 2 points too hot (rebuilt motor) witha total of something like 45 degrees advance and it was only ment to be 35 at most or sumthing and my car ddnt detonate ....

    thats got me confused , id say detonation like everyone else but yes dont seem to be that :S, could be something in the exhaust i had a ratlle on acceration once and a week later my exhaust fell in half ...just a suggestion
