As 510wgn said, you need to set the gap on the point correctly or else they wont trigger the coil. You need a feeler guage to set them, one of the esky fiends on here can probably help you with the right gap setting. Def'

I think he was concerned with the fuel lines rubbing against the body and waring ect. Its just what we were told to do and from memory it was about 60 bucks for 6-7 meters- cheaps, high pressure and flameproof Def'

Assuming the fuel line he is talking about goes under the length of the car, I believe it has to be metal. Thats what zep and I found when we rang a certifier about running return lines down our cars. Def'

Go to autostop, they sell steel fuel line by the metre. Just get a pipe bending tool from repco and bend up the lines you self doesnt take too long. Make sure you flare the ends of the line. Def'

On boost it runs really nice-decent amout of torque and it revs really freely for an ohc 8 valve- I took it for a drive this weekend- got addicted to the boost, so much fun to drive. Its a bit of a pig off boost- he's getting a new carb which will hopefully solve this problem. At the moment untill you boost its increadibly boggy. Hell be able to fill you in on specifics, but its got me planing to boost mine too now. Sc14 here I come! def'

Yeah i'd agree with that too. IF the cooler is too big, it can create a pressure drop that is more then the increase it causes from chilling the air. Or somthing like that, im no expert on boost. Def'

Im sure you know the whole oxygen density idea SKO. So i doubt i need to explain it. Cold air=more oxygen dense= higher boost explained very roughly. Def'

Get someone to turn the key for you and check it with a multimeter. See if its passing or even getting current. Def'

Does it have a Drum assembly on the rear end? If so thats most likey your problem. I would take a stab and say that is the handbrake spring. With out that the shoes may be completely out of adjustment. Hence you push you foot to the floor and the shoe has a long distance to travel before it contacts with the drum. Reinstall it and adjust the shoes till there just about contacting the drum and giv it a try. Def'

I was told of a little trick by a mechy to sort out ticking tappets, Put a table spoon or 2 of ATF in the oil, and it puts a bit of preasure on them. Def'

Those sounds like the wires going to the pick-up- not sure if these dizzy have an external module (usually on top of the coil) should connect to that, No idea bout the misti's tho so cant tell ya which wires they connect to. Electronic means it stays perfect(well almost) where as with points the gap setting goes out after a period of time and u have to re-set them. electric also give fatter spark. Def'

Could possibly run off to the manifold, a vacume diafram maybe, the ol' niki's use to have a few of these comming off, and most carbs have at lease one. Not sure tho. Block em off and see how she runs. Def'

Check to see if any of thr brake booster hoses and fittings are loose.Bound to be the problem. My Twins backfire at the mo when I hit the brakes, sounds like pop corn, "pop pa pop pop" Carb may need a bit of tune too. Def'

Yeah i was guna say sounds like timing/ points.Maybee time for a new set of points or to set the gap again. Def'
