    Re-coring Radiators

I also have an intercooler blocking the radiators flow now, so what ever I do, thermofans will be part of it.

    Re-coring Radiators

Hrm, I will take some measurements and see what I can find that might fit in ok. BurntRubber: How easy was it to fit this radiator in your car?
  3. Hey, Does anyone know anything about getting radiators recored (with more cores, but using the same size ends and stuff? My car now runs terribley hot and I need to do something about this. I heard that you can get your radiator recored with better cores...
  4. http://www.hotgemini.com/viewtopic.php?t=42819&start=0 Read that.
  5. Yeah, HotGemini has EVERYTHING you could possibly want to know. I do know that if you want to use a 13b you need a 12a something or other (haha cant remember) to mount it correctly. There are dudes in aussie that make rotary x-member kits, I would personally look in to buying one from them. I think the member is called PROGEM on hot gemini. Also, apparantly it is a very easy conversion, compared to say an SR or CA.
  6. I like to call it Salmon Pink, this annoys him greatly. Don't you all love that yokel in the trout waders?

  10. Here's are a few pics. Car is done, just needs the intercooler and exhaust plummbed up and the radiator re-installed, and most probably a good tune.
  11. Yeah, I realised that we didn't actully take any, lol. Umm, will try take a few today, kinda 1/2 done

    door panels

I would reccommend gluing down the padding, but not the material. Get a gun stapeler with short stapels and pull it tight over the edges. Comes up mint.

    Turbo Dizzy: Done!

Once I get it all sorted out, I may look at converting to electronic. What bits do I need, BurntRubber? (also, do you still want that grille?)

    Turbo Dizzy: Done!

Yep, it's all here. If all goes to plan, Defcon and I are doing the engine swap tomorrow and should be running by the weekend
  16. As some of you know, I was having trouble with sorting out the dizzy for my carby-turbo setup. I wanted something that would advance off boost and retard on boost, with out going electronic or anything like that. I was also advised not to lock the dizzy as it means the engine is sluggish off boost. Anyway, here's how the problem was solved: After looking around, I found a place in Oregon called Dale Manufacturing. Dale, the owner makes vaccuum diaphragms to suit Fiat Spyders which people want to turbo. This unit is designed to give regular advance off boost, and to retard the timing with the turbo kicks in. It gives about 15 degrees of vacuum advance and 10 degrees of pressure retard (once the car hits boost). Anyway, I ordered this diaphragm from Dale and took both that and my dizzy to The Good Ol' Boys Race Shop in Albany Auckland. Mike from the shop took to both my dizzy and the unit, adapting both so they would fit within each other and work together. He reckons that it's going to be perfect for what i'm doing. Here's a few pictures to show you what it looks like: http://www.dalemfg.com

Yeah, I got Knox Auto Carpets too. $180 delivery to the door for plush pile
  18. Just search around for the bits you need to lower your car, then do it yourself. You should end up saving quite a bit.
  19. This could possibley be what you are looking for: http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_inf ... cts_id=223
  20. Found it in a box of Gemini stuff. Might have something to do with EFI as there also an EFI manfold and a rail with injectors on it. Also, what would you call this: I imagine it's some form of mini surge tank. Although the feed pipe which is closest to (what I think is) the bottom of is is only a pin hole size, whereas the others are fully open :S Cheers boys
  21. Apparantly Geminis do have return lines, they just don't use them or something. I am having the same drama with my turbo setup. But there should be (apparantly) 3 lines, a feed, a fuel return and a vaopur return. At least that is what I have been told. This was from an Aussie tho, the Holden ones may have been different. What year is your gemini?
