  1. Awesome..so power is as you labled, then fuse in place of the resistor.. Go full send and see if it goes broom broom
  2. List confirms that it is an early 83-87 hap ae86 ecu and grey 2ohm 182cc injectors
  3. Site says 62 week lead time. I found their number so will call them tomorrow to check supply.
  4. I would if i can get them. That has been the issue.
  5. If thats the case it would save my arse.. Have been searching everywhere for a suitable resistor, got lots of resistance, but no luck
  6. Attention Shoppers!!! Got my new battery today. 350cca unit that i used to run in the stockcar, half the price of a ginungus unit too. Made up a battery hold down out of scrap, doesnt need to pretty for now. Also made provisions to retain and mount the stock washer bottle/bag. Power/ground is sorted.. Decided to mount the fuel pump under the car, below tank level..without a surge tank. Ill reuse the original return line on the top of the tank that was there when i got it.. surely if its factory, itll be good right?? Anywho.... Only need to find these pesky ballast resistor thingys to test fire it.
  7. Thanks bud, updates will be small and far apart for a while. Need to get the hunter on the road, then try and get the wrx ready for an event, but its just bolting seats back in, add belts and a few little bits before the paperwork stuff.. Id love to go full hog into it, but lotto has been slacking
  8. Pintos arent as readily available as they once were, and most that are left behind arent worth touchingvthese days. Most 80s engines are very scarce now. Early 90s are getting harder to get hold of. The mitsy 4g63 and 4g93 are awesome in rwd..reasonably available still aswell.
  9. Decided to pull the windows out today.. Yay for no rot in the frames.. Roof prep is almost complete..potentially done tomorrow.. Dont get much time to work on it so its slow going. Ripped the bench seat out..and sat the 350z seats in. Wired a battery to the drivers seat, and hey presto, electric seats in a ute.. They feel so good too
  10. For something epic in a 105e, id be looking down the rs focus motor with a rx8 box. All conversion parts are sourced out of the UK..go like snot in standard form. So many aftermarket add ons available. With just about any swap youd be looking at firewall mods, suspension and brake upgrades anyway. Throw in an quaife lsd. Would be a fun little nugget
  11. Cheers @StuThats the bugger.. Would be good to find one i can grab off a shelf rather than order and wait Is the higher the ohm reading mean higher resistance?
  12. Bout all i can find Popped into our local jaycar, werent much help with resistors, just rambled off tech jargon that i didnt compute
  13. She runs a map sensor. I want to dig out some diagrams to confirm what they say though, can never trust google mechanics
  14. From what ive googled, some had it, some didnt.. I dunno. If anything helps, its got grey injectors.. Been told its the early version. Have also been told that the ones that had an afm instead of the map sensor ran a ballast box. Shit gets confusing tbh, why do they have to make so many changes
  15. Punched a hole through the firewall for the loom. Its safely grommeted. Ecu is wired up, new fuse box and relays set. I only need to source some suitable ballast resistors for the injectors, finish wiring connection for this. Also need to get a power distribution post to connect the stock power feeds aswell as the starter cable to the battery etc. Ive refitted yhe battery tray, and will use a small drycell battery like what i used in my stockcar and rallycar. Ive even mounted the hard fuel line and return. Fuel pump will now mount under the car without a surge tank because i wont have time to make a "firewall" for the boot area.
  16. Holy bejebus, i forgot how cunty bodywork is. No large flat panels on these things. Lots of sharp lines and dents. Have finished the roof, pillars and one door on 3/4 tin of 3.5kg filler...most is now on the floor. The tailgate is in rough shape..lots of dents. No rust though.. Havent started on the guards yet. A mate was going to get onto these for me, but had been badly bitten by the black dog lately. Poor bugger. Have told myself to just coast on it, do what i can, when i can.. I picked up some keather seats for it though as the bench seat has collapsed on the drivers side, and needs some upholstery work. The seats i got are tan leather seats from a 350Z, and electric. Very comfy.. Engine bay situation: Got the radiator and coiler fitted. Need to figure out the oil line issue as the front line comes off the front cover and needs to make a sharp turn and downward, same with the cooler.. so hoping 2 x 45deg fittings will get them in the right angle. Rear line only needs to be shortened. That is all
  17. So that goes back to the main tank then? Like teaching an old dog new tricks right
  18. Theres already a provision for that one. Which leaves the one right on top free
  19. So ive been looking at the surge tank set up for the hunter. Have a bosch pump and a generic surge tank. This photo shows how i think it could be mounted. Ill mount the tank and pump to an offcut of ally 200x50 so that it can all lay on the same plane. Floor area in the boot is not flat. This piece will have tabs welded off it for mounting to the body. Now the fuel lines. Can they run into the "spare wheel well" then through the skin via grommets to get them under the car? Ill be runnjng hardlines front to back, with efi line connecting both ends and surge tank etc. Lift pump is mounted under the car as its was running the 12a. Am i right in thinking the line at the top of the surge tank is a breather and gets vented through the floor?
  20. They have been goingbthat way for a while.. The Sydenham branch was epic back in the day when i worked at PKMC..
  21. Used to get mine from bnt. Try sterling brake and clutch though

    PAINT THREAD

Id say aslong as its fully sealed and cured it should be ok, but would need to be keyed when anything else goes on top.
