  1. its easy, you get a NHRA fender exemption...
  2. nice panel van mate..and welcome aboard.. must be a quick little 1600 in it with the webber.. angle boxs(anglias) are pretty sweet rides, dont really see the panel vans done up too much though.. start up a project thread in the "users projects" section, that way we can see your progress when you work on it,and itll keep the spam to a minimum between your updates.. then we can all talk about in this thread.. cheers
  3. i met a guy last night and had a look at some projects hes got.. hes got thing offeroad buggy type deal that the frame used to be a monza drag car tube frame. had a 318 in it...now has toyota front and rear diffs in it..and a t bucket body.. hes gonna sell it,well he wants to anyway... would be insane
  4. mackaz has been around a while.. theres some bloody cool cowls out there if you know where to look.. i saw atleast 4 last night in one garage..hehe
  5. get the beetle, start by taking the body off it.. then make a space frame to whatever shape you want.. try and build it on top of the original floor pan if you can unless you wanna buld it longer.. once the main frame is built, take the engine and all suspension and steering etc off the floor pan and mount it to the spaceframe.. you could use the vw floor pan as a chassis but they would be weak id say.. theres been alot of cheap frames on trademe over the years for vw set ups
  6. wow..will be a hell of a project.. i saw ya thread on the H.A.M.B... good score on the carbs

  13. i was just putting it out incase someone was keen on a cashy on the side.. i dont have any good holesaws that drill a decent hole..or half round files
  14. it needs to be atleats 30mm or the flow will be totalled.. max of 35mm thick
  15. we only turn left..hard left and lots of g forces... im not sure what position would be best for it, but most have the bowl at the back..
  16. this is basically what i need, but with the 4 inner bolt holes slightly closer together if possible...only so the fuel bowl is at the back rather than at the side, unless itll make no different with fuel movement inside the bowl
  17. yea its a speedway rule...that and the fact that wood burns quite well lol
  18. shown with a basic adaptor, not to a 42mm restrictor... but this is how it needs to sit...kind of.. i suppose i could make one out of wood as a template if needed
  19. anyone on here keen to make me up a carby adaptor? got me a 3.8 v6 thats going carby.. ive got a 350cfm holley for it.. the manifold has been cut n shut allready. so all i need now is an adaptor to go from the barral down to a single centered 42mm hole.. and the plate to be no thicker than 35mm....so 35mm would be ideal... the flow would need to be funneled from a 2 barrel to the 42mm.. will need 8 holes drilled in it, 4 holes for the holley to bolt onto, and the other 4 will need to be countersunk to mount the adaptor onto the manifold... i can take some pics if you like... it can be made from either alloy or nylon....but not wood anyone keen??? give me a price...
