Anyone know a good freight company to get an engine from wellington to Auckland?
What sort of engine? Trailer's pretty full but might be able ti squeeze a small bike engine in.

That KE36 rear wasn't very watertight off the top of my head. And being so low and having no suspension it was a bit of a shit to tow according @76rolla_gurl. Looked cool. Not sure where it is as both car and trailer have been sold.

@Avenga would you have a set of brake drums surplus to requirement? A friend needs some to upgrade the brakes on his model T Ford.

A middle age barry owns that. He started going on about how it doesn't seem to run right and maybe it doen't have the right plugs so I quietly walked off and left some other guy there listening. All it will need is a basic tune up. Few hours at the most. Amazing how far out of tune SU carbs go over a couple years.

FB says yes.

Lol. Saw that ad. I wonder how much grief thats causing VTNZ staff.

in your opinion @kiwiplymouth ... But I wouldnt be asking if I wasn't serious or knew what i was getting into money wise. Thanks for stating the obvious. BTW, They are sought after cars and I have had higher offers.
Trust me mate. That is an argument you don't want to start.

Carjam doesn't like chassis numbers that arnt the 17 digit one on the rivited tag. Best go to the place doing the compliance and talk to them first. Get a written list of what paper work you need.

Why do you need proof? The compliance officer will have that information available to them.

330's are legit as fuck.
Much better cars than the 230.
All they changed is the styling, brakes, ball joints, seats/dash/upholstery. TBH I like the lean lines of the 230 compared to the 330.

So my questions:
1. Am I being silly going for the skinnier 165mm width tyres over the commonly available 185? - Yes
2. With the smaller width, would there be a potential disadvantage going for the asymmetric tyres? - Probably not
3. Can I tell by looking at the tread pattern what characteristics a tyre might have? (Does this even matter for such a small width?) - Wont really matter for the speeds you're doing unless you enjoy a good thrashing around the hills (and a drive after). The more groves in the tread the less rubber contacting the road in the dry but better water dispersion in the wet. -

Oh yea your screwd poor Datsun.
Do you know where do the nice tripple side draft carbs for the l26 come from ?
Not sure, @kicker will know, I looked at getting a complete Weber kit off Ebay but too spendy ATM. I'd like to see someone fit this ITB kit
https://datsunspirit.com/shop/itb-setup-for-l6/
Unless you modify the rest of the engine (cam, port job, extractors, higher compression) Triple sides are not really any advantage over twin SU carbs except for epic dorts.

Mate who was going to do the rust work moved workshops so didn't have any time to fix it. So not much has been done as of late. I need to decide the overall goal for the car because I want to keep working on my Chrysler. Crowns and Skyline are first on the list though. Too many cars.

hehe errrm about that. Ive rebuilt the master cylinder so Ive got brakes now. But its missing and diesel knocking at cruise did it a little on the way back from Hanmer but was really bad this morning. Probably a lazy injector.

Post action report:
@jesselc, @76rolla_gurl, @JustHarry, @datto_610, and others went out. Wasn't too bad turn out, 30ish cars. Best part was leaving early and getting a beer at the pub.
No pics but really nice turbo Corona coupe there. Such pine.

No wooden spoke. The Plymouths ones are original so they last.
