  1. Probably going to do coromandel sometime this year too. Family Bach is up there and is a wicked place to start. Wont be a massive big event but just sharing as this event gave me the pine for it. Probably 2 days. Might head right up the top and camp, might not. No clue just yet.
  2. Plus it's a loooooooong ass way.
  3. @Shakotom let me know today it's been 365 days since we started the sharn for last years cape run. Here's me sticking my foot in it like usual. I plan to ride wide wheel Chaly around the cape if it's reliable and if the run happens. Was going max slam spec Japanese style but decided it's pointless to have a bike I can only ride in the city; so have added slightly aggressive tyres to it which tbh does very little to make it off road worthy. INB4 change the route bleh bleh bleh. There are a tonne of people that aren't necessarily on OS that are keen after the last 2 years of videos to tackle it if @johnnyfive can be fucked putting up with a bunch of pests again. @Geophy and a few others are doing other adventure rides around the place on small bikes this year too which has been super cool to watch. I personally plan on heading off for a wee run around raglan/kawhia for a group ride as winter starts to dissipate which could be a cool prep run for some people. (aka @64valiant's standard weekend ride) Also Aaron Card from QCR may be doing a big weekend long event for small bikes in the South Island later in the year which I'm keen to try tackle if it happens. If none of the above happens I'll probably just go for a wicked nang over the Motu and back by myself. Either way, I'm Callum this is my shit yarn.

  7. Awesome stuff mate. Any day on 2 wheels is a good day. Doesn't matter what you ride as long as you ride, thats what I always say. GN250's are killer! The GT250 is a decent bike to blat around on too. Ridden a through few work.

  14. Time to do this again! Saturday 26 January 2019. Meet 9AM; leave 10AM sharp! Start point is 183 Ponsonby road. Across the road from last years start point. Why? We’re running the route in a reverse direction this year! We love this route but this will be a welcome change. It's a 40-50 KM ride around Auckland central that takes us down by the water, including Queen Street, Mission Bay and more. 250cc limit. Old, weird, unique and awesome bikes welcome. (All scoots welcome of course) **New sports/cruiser/tourer type bikes will be turned away. Not sure? Just ask! This ride aims to cater for those whom usually have no one to ride with. For those whose bikes don’t fit into mainstream categories. See you there!
  15. Secret for people wanting super trapps. But not wanting to pay the giant price; VW ‘spark arrestors’ are the same thing.
  16. Epic! Nice work dude. Gonna do some kinda cut down front guard? I know heaps don't run them but I reckon they make the bike. Keen to see this thing in person!
  17. Such a sick ride. Over half of the riders were from out of town. Solid effort. Thanks team!
  18. This is coming up soon! Forecast looks like anything could happen; we've had 2 years of rain forecast and it hasn't done so yet. We'll be there regardless! Rain is only water after all...

  21. If you’re gonna draw unwanted attention don’t bother. If it will blend in then at your own risk.
  22. My 125 vibrates like fuck and I love it. I do skids and/or ride WOT till oil empties out the breather but I keep it topped up and then change it out every 1000kms or couple of months - whichever comes first. Shipping oil is shit. Don’t use it; regardless if it didn’t harm anyone else’s bike. People will probably still debate this though because it was ‘fine’ for them. Anyone ever been to a Lifan factory? I have. The quality control isn’t great; but the products generally are epic and last well as long as they’re ‘looked after’. Generally this means every single person has a different experience with every engine made. Ed March has done over 100,000 miles on Lifans; but he maintains them religiously and strips them down before use and triple checks tolerances and torque on bolts etc. Don’t really need to go that nuts unless you’re riding around the world. TLDR; everyone will experience different things in different ways. Anyway; sick bike. Loving the tail light and the full rear fender. Can’t wait to see this thing hooning!
  23. One place I don’t recommend is the start venue (Classic Flyers) or the local Bunnings. We’re pretty keen to not piss them off. Aerodrome road is a big U shape with the start location at one end of the loop next to Bunnings and the airport at the end of the U. There is tonnes of parking on the side of the road at the other exit of Aerodrome road. If you follow around past the start venue, go past the airport; there should be plenty of parking there. Alternatively there is side road off the other end of Aerodrome road. Unload and park where shown in the photo below. Meet us at the start point!
