  1. This. also applied to myself for last night's non-effort
  2. Few more pics, Had to redesign the remote after the first run, Originally it was designed to be in the off position at 6oclock ,standby at 9, throttle from 9 to 4, but I kept accidentally shutting the engine off when throttling down. So I added a 2nd switch, the top switch is power and bottom one is standby/ run so the throttle is now adjustable on for the entire range of the rotary knob, all I need to to to shut down normally is turn the throttle to minimum and throw the4 bottom switch to standby which lets it stay powered for the cooling cycle. Here's a couple of pics of the unit on it's own, it's designed to be added to any healing cruiser and just uses the seat bolt to attach. and the final touch, the tank stickers ,thanks to Bangbug for printing these off last minute.
  3. Quite possibly, although I might have to pedal back if it's late, bit noisey
  4. seriously considering this!
  5. It worked out quite useful actually, it locks the frame into place and acts as a tiny rollbar
  6. Couple more pics, need to tighten the seat up a bit Also, credit due to Polecat for a very last minute "can you build this stainless thingy" with crap drawings on paper and little notice, cheers!
  7. Pretty much done, went for a blast around the carpark at work, it's a weird sensation... nothing ... nothing... moving ... woah hang on!
  8. Control box almost complete, almost as I couldn't find any 6 pin plugs like the other ones I used locally so they'll have to go on later, I'll just stuff a grommet in the hole for now. This houses the ECU, Battery, a little servo trickery and a whole nest of wires. Ended up being a lot bigger than I imagined it to be as the die-cast boxes jump from just a tiny bit too small to way to big. I ended up placing it directly over the turbine for a couple of reasons being that if the turbine decides to let go it has another barrier to get through before it hits the rider, also it helps protect the turbine if I fall off. Nearly done!
  9. Redesigned the remote to be smaller and simpler.
  10. Finally have the pump assembly together, this fits inside the a cavity in one end of the fuel tank Fuel Pump, Solenoids and Filters for both Fuel and Propane start. I had zero luck trying to find a good set of rims that weren't past it with rust so I bought this bike just for the wheels, Felix picked it up for me in CHCH and he reckoned it was too good to tear down so I decided to get the whole bike shipped to Akl which ended up being the right thing to do.. Thanks to the help of Felix and the good chaps at Mainfreight for the shipping, this wee baby turned up at work. I think I've accumulated 6 frames now, so I hope to get the other 3 up and running for the family beach house, I'll keep this one up to spec so I can go for a ride iith the kids and totally knacker them out! Annoying kids? no problem!, just flick a switch and blast away with Acme Jet Cruiser...
  11. Starting to put it together now, knew i should have gone slightly larger with the stainless tube as it took 3 hours to feed the pipes and wires through with a lot of silicone. Loosely mounted on the frame for the first time, starting on the control solenoid mounts and filters in the fuel tank. Managed to keep it to still just a single bolt to attach/detach,
  12. Thought it was worth mentioning that the Mexicali guys refused the complimentary drink with meals , he said there wasn't enough people eating there to be worth it for him. Might be time to remove the offer from the OS page?
  13. Use an electric fence, set up a camera, fun veiwing
  14. another step forward, kinda, I screwed the measurements I wrote down on paper for the rear mount so we need to adjust that, but it's getting closer couple more pics Trial fit on the bike frame Here's the the rear view, still need to adjust the mount width and add a support frame that slides over and locks onth the rear carrier. The actual jet mounts on the underside of the SS tube and mounting tabs need to be welded on to the frame yet. Measuring up the fuel lines and control cables to go inside the SS tubing.
  15. I hope to be there in Healing fashion. Not the crystal type, or sexual... unless (complete this sentence)....

  18. Ok, "over 11" is what the brain meant but didn't communicate to the outside world.
  19. Is that because they're not standard or have the rules changed? hope not
