One of my long term projects, 1980 toyota crown. brought it after it sat up the end of the brook valley after the old couple parked it up when it hit 400,000 ks gave them $200 and i was away. towed it home, some new fuel, plugs and a dizzy cap and it fired up pretty good. unfortunaley has the common rear quarter rust. pretty bad, someones patched it up before and made an average job. plan is to get it legal (can't see it needing much bar the rust) and just drive it, eventually lower it

Hey mate, am doing virtually the same setup as you with my viva, was wondering what you did in the rear to lower it and did you compress the factory frothy Springs? Also what was the grille and dash cluster like to fit as I have them ready to go in too thanks

Ive been looking at everyone elses posts on here for a few years now and finally have something of my own to upload. I got this 1960 velox at the start of the year and had a mate bring it up to nelson from invers where it sat in a shed for 6 years i was told, progress has been pretty slow on it but its 99% complete and the rust is mainly surface, its also my first project so finding time and money is a trouble too . Its de reg'd with no paperwork or plates but a guy at the local vinz is real keen to see it back on the road so it should get through the registration process okay, plan is to get it running better than it is atm, rebuild the brakes, patch the odd bit of rust, clear coat and drive it as often as possible. Also if anyone knows of any PA parts or complete cars in nz preferably close to nelson i will be very interested. Discission Thread
