all the cool cats are rocking flouro yellow these days Chris!

Finished early today cos bawse and wandered down to the cycle joint in Woolston. Scored a neat old dynamo headlight that should do the trick! Inside of it Plan is to use a dremel and cut the actual bulb housing back a bit to fit the larger factory bulb and then weld or solder the factory holder into this See below when together. Will drill a hole out back and run factory wire - might even try and incorporate old school push on/off on the light housing for maximum pine. Pretty shit update but all i got for today
-
Rear end looks fantastic - even better in the flesh.
-
Sweet cheers for heads up will have a look this week!
-
Unfortunately wont be this week - have a work function that is compulsory. On the lookout for vintage bike dynamo headlight to fit my factory headlight in - this kinda style. If anyone has one lying around on an old healing cruiser or something will exchange for beverages of choice Likes to burn out tail lights without the headlight there it seems.

Found this pretty cool page for you mate http://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Performance_Tuning_a_Suzuki If you are pulling down the carb why not try and replace with a larger one from a v50 or something. From looking at yours on weekend it seems a lot smaller so that might yield some interesting results P.S zooming through traffic is scary enough on a moped - might be time to replace that petcock so you arent adding to the danger lol

Had a pretty decent road test earlier. Reckon I must have burned some crap outta the exhaust earlier in the day cos it went a hell of a lot better. Prob had it up to about 60kms by the seat of the pants meter - was keeping up with cars along Halswell Rd haha.
-
Seems like it is working OK Andy but I understand its pretty accurate rather than just on/off or at least thats what one of the other v50 guys was saying other weekend
-
Yeah prob not a bad idea mate but if Im doing that might aswell just run full premix haha. Doesnt seem to be running particularly well so next step is getting it going quick!

So did some more stuff to this today. Throttle now connected and working sweet. Hopefully have connected the two stroke pump right or could be getting a seized motor. Went for a wee blat around the block and realised that I hadnt adjusted the rear brake yet and it has no front brake at all lol. Am now soaked but happy

LOL thats the part I need. I have just got it all tucked into the front part and the ignition bolted on to the clamp with original hole mate. Sorry

Good thing was there was a guy there with a 50cc single speed honda that was hitting 80 so potential was there. Think he just had an expansion chamber and funky carb
-
It also doubles as his getaway bike
-
Right some more progress tonight. Throttle two into one cable pull sorted and holes drilled in - bars now lower. New look - much better i reckon Just gotta connect up throttle cable and then its basically ready bar the cosmetic mods and other bits and pieces

This thing will be unstoppable at next years bike polo @ Hanmer!

yer I got the kit - need some solder and solder skills. If I recall my time in electronics/technology class was the last time I have soldered. In my defence used to flat with an electrical engineer whose solder skills were jedi-like. In other news Im ready for smashing that cunty two into one level pull and self mixing this bitch!
-
So - anyone any good at making throttle cable ends? Fucking little things!
-
Fuck Christchurch is becomming the new Akl in house prices! Maybe I should move to Dunedin too and have a fucken mansion!
-
Yer I actually quite like the seat. Are you keeping it orange or is a different paint scheme on the horizon?
-
Oh yeah - shiet already ordered one from the tard, Will see how it goes and if no good will purchase said kit. Getting pretty excited now hahaha

In the immortal words of 'Cube: Parts showed up and this thing is kinda coming together. Throttle assembly arrived along with 2 sets of new brake shoes from Wemoto. Grips here a few days ago. Obligatory pics: Grip test fit - squeezed onto larger bars with the old WD40 trick with other parts. Now waiting on throttle cable!

Its 100m walk from my house so keen haha.
