If you look at metal heads v50 a couple of projects down looks about the same? Thibk mine looks worse cos it has different risers and bars

Yeah it's not perfect but sitting in 4/6 holes there. The ones that connect to engine are about an inch out mate. I'll have a play and if I need to drill more holes so be it. Needs to come off to sort carb anyways

Test fit of new legshield: doesnt seem to fit all that great - its for a yamaha 80cc mate/townmate i think but yeah Hides a whole lot of ugly in terms of airbox etc i reckon What you all think?

Alrighty started pulling carb apart and became apparent last person to work on it had lost clip that was holding air intake on. Hence air intake was off and this was covered by black electrical tape. No doubt contributing to it running like a bag of dicks. So rooted around in my shed and found this - knew i ordered one ages ago: Far thicker than the old one, its flexible and seals both ends. Yeah

Its dying specifically when it has run for 10 mins plus and got hotter. Seems peppy lower down etc but def bogging hard at WOT. Will try adjusting clip to highest level - but my (rudimentary) understanding is that this only really effect up to about 3/4 throttle and WOT is the jet size?

Ok bike is back and seems to be running / starting well - when cold. After its been running for a while and gets hot it seems to bog down and stall. I need to let it cool down and then will run again. Thoughts? Initial thoughts could be running a little lean / soft seizing? So run some oil in fuel also? Carb jetting?? Perhaps gear oil needs changing although that seems sweet?

think there is supposed to be a pivot of some sort on frame just below seat post entrance. The wire goes into the shifter where the arrow is facing away on the picture - if that makes sense and it pulls out / pushes in a chain that comes out of the rear hub. Will try and track down a photo of a complete one for you

Stripped down now - new wheel all good. Found one of these beasts browsing the tard over Xmas so thats arrived now: Rear hub / wheel getting dropped off at around again to get serviced and waiting for powder coaters to get frame , mud guard etc done. Anyone got any good sources for re-chroming or polishing? Want the mudguard holders smartened up a bit

Given back brake the same treatment today and found a new front wheel for it at Around Again Cycles. Waiting for a crank puller from fishpond so I can pull off that and send to be sand blasted and powder coated. After that it's re-assemble, new brake cables and seat covered and ride

pretty much stripped down now - just enough to move it around easy left on lol Starting to look clean Front brake lever and caliper chillin like a villain in some white vinegar. This stuff mows surface rust - here is the seat pole which was pretty covered in the stuff:
