went out to te akau boat ramp with Brent and Graeme on similar size and styled bikes.
hooned to yowzers house warming on crate day with beaver, via some cool back roads
and just explored other cool roads around waikato

Yeah that sounds about right. Saw some videos of it in wellington a couple weeks back.
They were up at Masterton motorplex around the same time.

Oh man! Things were looking so good.
Hope it's something so small that can be easily fixed.

I just rang the hicks bay lodge to double check something.
The office clerk/lady on the end of the phone asked.
If a bunch of us intended on dining in there.
If so could we get some numbers as I said I'd call back around 5pm and let her know a rough amount that would be dining with them.
Chur.

I feel like someone asked to stay here the night before but I've lost track, did I promise a bed to anyone?
It was I that asked for a bed/couch space as well as doozi.
We'll bring our own sleeping bags and pillows to make life a bit easier.

@63Ragtop looks like you got yourself some early bus wide fives.
Slight different offset to beetle wide fives but will still work.

Been hooning the monkey for a week so far. Heaps of fun so far the 220kms ive done. already thinking of upgrades I'd like to do.
Max speed of 112kph along the expressway behind some one. Crusies at around 93kph in the open wind with 100kgs on it.
Really interested to see what kinda kms it gets to a tank of my style or riding.

Don't miss that inland day Greg it's lush country and roads in there
Oh don't get me wrong I enjoyed those roads last time on the vespa.
But I also enjoyed the coast line on the twist and go with @Mop Head on the back racing all the ct's the 1st year.
Ideally just like to be a tourist and go to tolaga bay wharf and a couple other spots and soak them up.

Not to go against @johnnyfives pristine planing and mapping skills.
i was thinking of just skipping the inland track on day two and heading down the coast for max relaxation and cruising.
Is there a couple of others who might want to join me or I'm ok if everyone else wants to go dirt track inland as I'll just head that way as well.

So a big fan of the monkey? Did test on a grom and quite liked it. Also @64valiant thoughts on monkey?
I haven't test ridden a grom as aesthetically they do nothing for me. As for the monkey, I rode a brand new one back in 2019 and it was super fun, wasn't a full on test ride but a couple of laps around the block. As for previous bikes like my old vespa, I never test rode them as well.
For me, it fits the categories.
small bike, lams approved, manual, plenty of aftermarket support, good to look at, reasonably cheap on gas none modified, capable of doing 100kph, abs, yearly wofs, slow enough I shouldn't kill myself on it.
This one is a mates bike, done small kms and kinda got offered it at a price I couldn't say no to, so made things happen.

Tbh ive been on mine for 14 years.
I didn't really have any desire to level up as I didn't ride as much in compared to my younger years. Only becoming more mature and bit more conscious has made me want to get my restricted and full.
I can most definitely understand a lot of riders will probably stick with a blue license if that's all the plan on riding.
And even then a lot of people still don't even have a blue license and just ride.
I'll get my restricted this year.

Also side note.
Pretty keen on a gsx s750. Time will have to wait till maybe next summer for one.

I have put the fzr up for sale to help pay for the new bike I've put a deposit down on.
Got 4400 ono on the fzr and speaking with a guy in chch atm who showed interest in it at the last brass monkey over a year ago. Be good to move it on and get a bike that also suites my blue license you guys all talk about as well.
Speaking of the new bike.
