Finally got both B pillars finished and finished a bit more on the doors.

Have braced it up and gapped the b pillar door hinges.

these old Ys had very tight gaps in some parts and even touched with little to no way of adjusting them.

i can at least move the cowl around to get better gaps in the front as I’m not bringing the whole roof down at once.

Got the front of the roof chopped three inches.

I need to cut a small piece out of the centre to get it to line up. When you look at the windscreen surround it tapers in towards the bottom a fair bit.

Just started on a pair of door post braces to help lock in the roof and also give me a area to weld the rear portion of the roof to around the curved part of the door.

Also chopped the front and rear of the chassis off so I can set the body at the height I want it.

The ford Y is so much smaller and narrower than a 34 ford and don’t want to loose any room inside by channelling it.

So I need to do a kick up in the front and rear.

It also needs to be lengthened 205mm to get the right proportions for a coupe.

Got the chassis extended and dropped to close to where it would be.

im only using the original as a template for 3 x 2 rhs 5mm wall.

Im not sure whether to finish the roof off first or start on the rear quarter panels.
