dabuzz
just buy the blanking plates, and '3 bond' them on, no need for a gasket. 3 bond is the best sealant around for that sort of thing, I dont even use sump gaskets anymore, just straight sealant. 4

kws
Could you cut the old pressed in pipe flush, run a pipe thread tap down it and use an off the shelf fitting? Those sort of pressed-in pipes can usually be yanked out after heating the housing for a bit
rotormotor
Housing recently back from heatreated/hardening so not averse to a bit of heat lol. The thread option in the original pipe was discussed too hence photos to builder to see how far in or if outlet tapered/stepped down inside the iron. I'll scope out a local Hutt/Petone firm if interested in taking it on next.
Raizer
Pull and twist it out, press in a new one. Have done it with surprisingly expensive Toyota thermostat/heater shit.
rotormotor
Cheers. 2 wanker beers deep I got my vice grips out. Great sucesss, took a bit though. Mazda don't sell this as a consumable but gives me easier options, I'll check on the threadsize of the early rx part offered and see if its a go.
Raizer
Worst case I'm sure you can find someone with a lathe that likes cold beverages that can make a replacement. The air bleeder fitting in the filler neck of my 1kz started life as a Honda CT90 axle lol
dabuzz
You've made it pretty hard on yourself not sorting all of that before nitriding, the hardening process loosens all of those fittings including the oil gallery blanks, and are normally removed and tapped for Allen key type bungs, and screw in water pipes prior to hardening. Now it's done, it's more difficult and you might smash some taps etc trying to remedy it. I wouldn't be confident trusting the oil bungs now, as they can (not always) seep. Also don't forget to replace your frost plugs. But your builder must have pointed all that out I'm sure,
