GregT
The early 8V 550's do. This is the late 16V version where the advance is in the box. It is possible to put the early c/f advancer on and run a pair of Pertronic triggers. As pic.

governorsam
wonder if a gsx 400 impluse unit would work then? colors should match up? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/motorbikes/parts-for-sale/electrics/listing/4186198857

I have read up the rectifier fails to regulate the voltage and sends 20v to the battery which boils the battery dry and some have been known to catch on fire, it overworks the alternator and then sends 2too much voltage to ignitor and lights(not working) similar to mopeds and small bikes when run without a battery to regulate the power. The fix was to use a Honda CB250N rectifier/regulator apparently
GregT
Almost any Honda reg/rectifier will work. Common fix.
holdenman
I have finally found one so grabbed it but won't be here for a few weeks. Next I will replace the rectifier and check the wiring, I better start my list of things to do before installing it.
