SOHC
Can anyone recommend me a brakerless ignition conversion kit that uses points cam lobes to trigger the unit, I want to convert my 1942 ford distributor, I have a factory distributor timing jig so it wouldn't be impossible to make. Or I gess I should just buy one that is allready made?
Nominal
I've used a Pertronix kit in the Mercury, and the Lincoln before that. It replaces the points, and has a plastic do-dad that pushes down over the cam lobes. Has been working fine for over 10 years. Looks like they do something similar for the Flathead. http://www.pertronix.com/prod/new/details.aspx?ID=148
